jfogarty Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Something interesting just happened in the City game. Cole made a bad tackle on Mills that was a blatant yellow card but Mills got straight up and pleaded with the referee not to book the player. Cole still got booked but the Chelsea players didnt know what was going on with Mills reaction. Its an interesting tactic to use against Chelsea. They wont learn anything from it but they will be made look like even bigger t***s Well done Mills

jfogarty Posted March 25, 2006 Author Posted March 25, 2006 Weird, you sure he wasn't pleading with the ref to send him off ? be interesting to see that one later. Nah it was a similar reaction to Fowlers against Arsenal PS - Portsmouth vs Arsenal is off

HAAHAAHAHAHAHA MOTM goes to Drogba. What a joke. Spent most of the game rolling around screaming. What a complete nonce.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I expect better from the f***ing Guardian: The hand of Drog struck again as Mourinho's champions elect ran riot against Manchester City. 2-0 = running riot?
stressederic Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I expect better from the f***ing Guardian:2-0 = running riot? I predict a simple and economical win. Doesn't really have the same ring to it.
aka Dus Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I expect better from the f***ing Guardian:2-0 = running riot? Interesting Grauniad fact: http://www.123-reg.co.uk/fullwhois.cgi?domain=grauniad.com
Barnesy_10 Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Drogba in his post match interview admitted to hand balling it.... then the interviewer said that some will see that as cheating.. then Drogba said something about taking the goal away but Chelsea still won...nob
meepins Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 (edited) It seemed in his post match interview he was saying the 'ends justfied the means'. Just part of the whole Chelsea philosophy. Edited March 25, 2006 by lfc-dub
CarraLegend Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 http://www.eecho.ie/news/bstory.asp?j=1456...6zx&n=145602649 Didier Drogba has spoken out in a bid to clarify his position on diving. The Ivory Coast striker scored both goals in Chelsea?s 2-0 win against Manchester City today and admitted handling the ball before firing home the second. But he faced questions about diving because of his reaction to a couple of tackles during the match at Stamford Bridge. In an interview for BBC?s Match of the Day he was asked if he dived and said: ?Sometimes I dive, sometimes I stand up.? But then Drogba was quick to back-track when he was asked if this was a diver?s confession. ?No, no, no I don?t dive,? he added. The Chelsea striker feared his comments had not been clear and was anxious to make his point of view crystal clear. Drogba said: ?Unfortunately in the emotion of winning the game my comments have come across partly in the wrong way. ?I want to make clear that I don?t dive, this was the intention of my answer.? Diving has been on the agenda at Chelsea since Alan Shearer accused Shaun Wright-Phillips of diving in the FA Cup quarter-final to get Newcastle?s Robbie Elliott sent off. Drogba has also faced allegations that he goes to ground easily. http://www.chelseafc.com/article.asp?hlid=...sub=latest+news Didier Drogba conducted an interview for the BBC after today's match which has already been aired on BBC Sport Interactive and will also be shown on tonight's Match of the Day. In it he was asked a question about diving, he would like to clarify his statements. Didier Drogba says: "Unfortunately in the emotion of winning the game my comments have come across partly in the wrong way. I want to make clear that I don't dive, this was the intention of my answer."
Earl Hafler Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I'm watching the match now. Constant diving by Cole and Drogba. And nice to see John Terry flying back to play for Chelsea after the Women's Hockey Team were knocked out of the Commonwealth Games.
Guest Sabre Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Haha, that's bloody funny from Drogba. Reminds of a Partridge moment with the porn in his hotel room. Sophie: Oh, Ben, Mr Partridge was just saying that he couldn't see 'Bangkok Chick-boys from his bathroom'. Ben: Well, you can if you angle the mirror by the door. Do you want me to show you? Alan: No! I only watched it for five minutes. The remote control's confusing. Ben: Oh, what you will have done is, when it flashed up on your screen, 'Do you want to watch 'Bangkok Chick-boys'? you pressed the button that said 'yes'. Alan: Yeah, well, as I say, it's very confusing. Ben: Do you want me to come up and how you how to press the button that says 'no'?
Guest roger Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 The sending off was ludicrous. Rob Stiles will have to explain that pathetic pedantry to the FA.
WelshSpikeMikey Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 That was an absolute joke of a sending off. Pathetic.
ManxRed Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I'd bet money that Drogba has a vagina. He does. He calls it 'Joe Cole'
