What's the scewith Robbie Foy. I know he went out on loan ( to wrexham wasn't it) is it the case that he's too good for a lower level team but just not good enough to break into the first team?

Maybe some of the young players are being rested cos we had a reserve game quite recently.

What's the deal with Hobbs? I thought he was a CB, but he's being mainly played in CM for the reserves. Are we changing his position, or is it to give him better ball playing experience?

The latter - it was mentioned in an interview with Herrera earlier in the season.

Big E,

Let it be known that the coaching staff were quoted as saying that he was playing one season as a midfielder to improve his passing, awareness etc but that they do seem him as a centre back.

maybe they are being sent on a scouting mission to Manchester City tonight, to check out their Yewt Cup final opponents :D

Also - Jack Hobbs has been playing some games at centre back in the FA Youth Cup games.

Liverpool Res v VILLA RES

Osbourne almost opened the scoring with just 30 seconds on the clock, but Liverpool keeper Martin held.

At the other end Guthrie fired over the bar on seven for the hosts. Calliste then fired straight at Villa keeper Olejnik.

Guthrie rattled the outside of the post with a well-struck free-kick on 19 as Liverpool made most of the early running.

Villa striker Mikaelsson sent a glancing header narrowly wide of the target as he met a Lowry centre on 23.

Chances were few and far between as the first-half progressed, with both sides struggling to create openings.

Cahill might have done better as he headed wide from a Whittingham corner on 33.

Whittingham fired a thundering left-foot drive narrowly past the post from fully 35 yards on 39.

HT: 0-0

Liverpool: Martin, Barragan, Smith, Antwi, O'Donnell, Roque-Farrero, Peltier, Hobbs, Calliste, Guthrie, Foy. Subs: Woods, Lancaster, Lindfield, Flynn. Barnett.

VILLA: Olejnik, Green, Lowry, Cahill, O'Halloran, Whittingham, Lund, Osbourne, Mikaelsson, Bridges, Kabeya. Subs: Hogg, Henderson, Stieber, Saunders, Herd.

Man City are leading 1-0 v Newcastle in the 2nd leg of the semi final (Youf cup).

So right now looks like we'll be playing Man City in the final.

where do they hold the final for the Youth cup ?

2 legged thingy!

Which is why it'd be great if Manc City go through :D Still 25 mins to go in their semi final tho and they hold a slender lead!

Ah! I see now, the coach from the Oakie. I just thought it was different neutral venues like they used to do the old FA cup semi finals.

Ill have to go to the final, wonder if it would be midweek or on weekends ?
