the woman with the bell at Maine Road? Sat there year after year, front row behind the goal, ringing that thing all through the game. When I was a kid she was there every match when me and dad went there.

I hate that woman at Arsenal who sits too close too the microphone and whenever the ball goes anywhere near the goal she screams.

She died last year. She used to be a flower seller outside the main entrance to Manchester Royal Infirmary and she always had her bell on the stall with her. Inside the main entrance of the hospital now, there's a huge painting of her at the stall with the bell featured prominently.

That's a banshee. She's the real reason they're moving stadiums.

When I worked in Mancland, my boss and close friend was a Citeh fan. He had season tickets about 4 rows away from the bell lady. He took me to one game and I had that noise in my ears for days. Amazingly, all the Citeh fans had got so used to the noise it did not bother them.

She used to make it to Anfield and ring the bell there.
