No doubt we'll get the blame for this. In fact, we probably ARE responsible.

The one here in Chester makes me laugh every time I go past. Its so paltry and has about 2 or 3 people browsing, looking miserable, on a busy saturday afternoon.

Shame if its closing as it always gives me a warm feeling.

Shame. Interesting the spin that's being put on it re: JJB and the site is right to question the decision to relocate the store because if that were the case it'd have been in the pipeline a while. It's fairly obvious this is due to a low fan base.

Just wait for a few weeks...

The Everton Football Club in Liverpool is to shut at the end of the current campaign according to the playing staff at Goodison Park today.

Apparently, as Liverpool are the Official club of the city they will be winning more trophies then Everton, therefore there is no need for the club to remain open.

The financial department that was in Goodison Park shut its doors earlier this season for reasons that are unknown to the public.

Strangely enough, the Everton defender Kroldrup has only just been relocated to Fiorentina, surely costing the club millions in transfer fees and wages etc... so why waste money on something that will only be open a few more months?

However, the bailiffs situated by Goodison is to remain open!

Are Everton a waste of money or are their accounts pure speculation?

Have your say in the forums.

Review

After a busy and frustrating Christmas period, Everton approached the New Year determined to turn things around and get some Premiership points on the board.

A subsequent run of eight league games unbeaten, including seven victories, transformed the season and even had Evertonians discussing the possibility of European qualification.

Relive the splendid return to form with highlights from three of the best games from this period. Tim Cahill's talisman performance against Charlton, the return home of Alan Stubbs against the mighty Arsenal and am unexpected debut for teenage goalkeeper John Ruddy in a brave and fighting performance from the toffee men against Blackburn Rovers.

Features highlights from:

Everton 3 Charlton 1 - Monday 2/01/06

Everton 1 Arsenal 0 - Saturday 21/01/06

Everton 1 Blackburn 0 - Saturday 11/02/06

England should take Beattie or Ashton.

To use instead of those wooden men in the practise wall?

I'm hoping that those thinking Arteta isn't any good aren' t putting the mockers on us for Saturday

He is a very good player and is capable of doing us some damage.

Beatty as well is starting to look a bit like a striker

And Cahill - although a horrible thug who should be sent off most matches is also capable of some good work on the pitch

no one is saying that Arteta isn't a decent player but better than Alonso!!!?

who are you supporting on Saturday, Andy? ;)
