Figaro Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Strange how hitting the back of the net a few times changes the world and his dog... Alves will be happy if he arrives then...
CarraLegend Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Strange how hitting the back of the net a few times changes the world and his dog... It's only Brum, Fulham etc so it doesnt count for much apparently.
Benitez Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 no I'm not happy, Reina only had to make 1 save - therefore he hasn't been tested, it ain't good enough
liverbird04 Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 so we're still interested in alves then ,thought he was a dead cert to go to barca but maybe not.....
Stevie H Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 i'll be happy when carragher is on the scoresheet. saturday please, jamie.
Billy Dane Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Strange how hitting the back of the net a few times changes the world and his dog...Alves will be happy if he arrives then... this likely then?
heighway Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Hey Figaro, whatever happened your 'on this day in history' posts that you used to grace the 'General' with. Used to enjoy reading those!

Figaro Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 From the man himself... he's heard lots of talk about Barca and Madrid, but only LFC have moved

Raj Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) From the man himself... he's heard lots of talk about Barca and Madrid, but only LFC have moved this was mentioned on another site yesterday too. seems that the rumours are gathering pace. i havent really seen enough of him to comment, but he has looked promising when they have shown Seville on Sky Sports. any idea what type of fee we would be looking at Pat? Figaro Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 These rumors are Alves cropping up. Ever since Sevilla CF rejected our last 12m ? offer it's got worse and worse...
Swipe Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 From the man himself... he's heard lots of talk about Barca and Madrid, but only LFC have moved Does he fancy us though? Or is he miffed that Barca and Real haven't moved/waiting for them to do so?
Jonesy Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 These rumors are Alves cropping up. Fyds is that you using Caruso's logon?
Knox_Harrington Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Fyds is that you using Caruso's logon? There was no mention of Nazis so I doubt it.
L19red Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 The reds banging goals in, figaro dropping hints. I've really missed these threads. We haven't had a good speculation frenzy since Fowler signed.
McBain Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 A brazilian on both flanks? It'll be like Cafu and Carlos
Figaro Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 Does he fancy us though? Or is he miffed that Barca and Real haven't moved/waiting for them to do so? He didn't saying anything apart from the fact that he's been told by Sevilla and his agent that both expect LFC to make an improved offer in June. When pushed by the press to confirm if he would stay or leave - he just changed the subject and started talking about his fight with FIFA over the possibility of playing for Spain. Del Nido has stated that if Sevilla CF grab the fourth spot (doubtful) there will be 20 million ? to spend on new players, if they qualify for the UEFA (again) there will be a maximum budget of 6 million ? to be backed up by whatever money comes in from player sales. Knowing Del Nido - Sevilla will sell come June.
sbaros Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I thought Alves was mainly a right/wing back, not a winger? Looking more and more likely Rafa wants to play 3-5-2 with wing backs.. my only worry about that though would be Stevie Finnan, surely him, Kromkamp(Recently bought and more attacking then Finnan) and Alves(IF, and then also recently bought) can't all stay happy sharing 1 position?
Coyler Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Looking more and more likely Rafa wants to play 3-5-2 with wing backs.. my only worry about that though would be Stevie Finnan, surely him, Kromkamp(Recently bought and more attacking then Finnan) and Alves(IF, and then also recently bought) can't all stay happy sharing 1 position? He is Finnan. There is no sharing.
jimmylibel Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Pennant and Alves to alternate at RM next season?
