Romanov's quoted as saying part of the problem was the buys in January. The fact he reportedly chose most of the 11 they brought in is overlooked of course

Saw Jim Duffy today saying Rix should have been given more time. While I think Romanov is a loon, I thought his biggest mistake was appointing him in the first place. Decided to check the stats (league only).

 

Hearts without Rix: 11 wins, 2 Draws, 1 Loss. Av of 2.5 points per game

Hearts with Rix : 6 wins 6 Draws 4 Loss. Av of 1.26 points per game

 

If Rix had been in charge all season they'd have been in 9th by now

If they'd maintained their pre-Rix form they'd be one point behind Celtic (they're currently 17 points back, depite being in touching distance when he took over)
