Gomez Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Glad you asked, I've been looking through the forum assuming someone would have done, and couldn't find out. I think I heard they were, but not 100% with all the Wembley / Cardiff stuff. I don't think they were ever going to be at Wembley.
forde Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) Yep for some silly reason they are def in Cardiff! Edited March 22, 2006 by forde
Sara Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I think they are in Cardiff yes. Ridiculous if you ask me!
Gomez Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Yep for some silly reason they are def in Cardiff! Where they always going to be in Cardiff?
RP Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I can't find confirmation anywhere. On the BBC site they name the dates (w/end of April 22nd) but don't mention the venue, but on the same page they do name Cardiff as the Final venue. That would suggest the Semis will be played at neutral grounds, wouldn't it??
Cobs Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) dont think they are in Cardiff - nothing on the FA website suggesting it here Edited March 22, 2006 by Cobs

Sara Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 It doesn't say where on the FA site either. Just the dates and that we are Number 4 in the bag.
forde Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 They were going to be played at the new wemblyand from next season they all wil be. So for the last year so they say it will be Cardiff.
Stevie H Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 if we were to draw newcastle or boro, that would make cardiff even sillier as a venue.
Benitez Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 daft it is. And say Newcastle and Boro go through..... OK, say Boro go through and we get them in the semi final, it's just crazy really.
Sara Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I think it was Newcastle and the Mancs last year had to travel down. It's not as if it's an easy place to get in and out of either!
RP Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 if we were to draw newcastle or boro, that would make cardiff even sillier as a venue. And if West Ham draw Charlton or Chelsea, Cardiff would be ridiculous. Cardiff it is then.
Hightown Phil Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Nah, they've changed it after the FSF lobbied the FA.
Gravy Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 A hard one to imagine I know, but what if Boro drew Newcastle.
Sara Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I have just telephoned the FA and was told "The venues have yet to be confirmed. It definitely won't be Cardiff, it will be neutral grounds. That's that solved then.

It definitely won't be Cardiff, it will be neutral grounds. That's that solved then.Thank god for that change of mind. Still do not trust the FA would put money on them having another rethink and saying Cardiff it is!
Jeff guitar Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I have just telephoned the FA and was told "The venues have yet to be confirmed. It definitely won't be Cardiff, it will be neutral grounds. That's that solved then. Why, who plays at the Millenium stadium
Jonesy Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I hope to feck we are on the Saturday. I have a Christening to go to on the Sunday. Then again the its early enough on the Sunday for me to attend and do one straight after the service......so long as we play at Old Toilet or The Big Council House. Villa Park might be too far away to make.
