The last league game (until Villa) on my ST was the Charlton match. As I had a birthday do to get to I left early, for the first time ever, with about 3 mins to go (if that) and upon exiting the ground heared the cheer for what should have been Robbies first goal for the club.

Next game after that was my first Champions league proper game - Benfica which I was fortunate to be sorted for, ticketwise, as I'd missed the group games due to personal circumstances. We lost.

Next up I watched the whole of the Arsenal game on the telly. We lost.

The comes the Fulham game. I was driving back from one of our outer offices when I was offered the chance to go and take up the ST as the lad I was sharing it with was working. I was also working too so had to decline. As it was not on telly nor radio I had to make do with the match feed from here. We won.

Then comes Newcastle. Slapnuts had sorted a ticket, and as we'd arranged in Istanbul I'd be up there for this game and we'd have a few beers on the Saturday/Friday. An 18th birthday party, coupled with the fact that our company had moved it's pay dates back a week meant I couldn't go even if I could have afforded to. We won.

The tonight. I left the Lake district at around 6pm and drove like a fecker to get home to watch it. Needed to get my tea in but also was desperate for a tom t**. So I stop off at home, log into my PC for team news and also so that my PC was on for when I'd come back from being and out and bought my tea.

Delayed by a short MSN chat with A@A and a dump that refused to budge I missed the first 5 minutes of the match by the time I made it back from town. Not only that but everytime we scored I was checking on my tea. The only goal I saw live was JAR's.

We won.

Again.

break a leg son...........then piss on it four times whilst buying some lucky heather and some pegs of gypsy. That'll cure it. Either that or look for the four vases in your house and piss in them.....when its a full or you are drunk. You decide. Its the only three ways I know to lift this curse.

My Dad hasn't seen a live Liverpool match for over 20 years because of this sort of thing. Mad football fan. Liverpool through and through. Can only watch highlights. He doesn't even want to know the score during games.

I was once in a car with him when he turned the key. The radio came in and it was tuned to Radio City. Whoever it was we were playing away that Saturday afternoon scored before he got to the off button.

f***ing spooky it was.
