It can only give us confidence but I don't think we should read too much into the '15 goals in 3 games' fact.

We played pretty poorly against Fulham and that scoreline was harsh on Fulham. Both Newcastle and B'ham were p1ss poor.....really bad.

Of course we can read into the fact that we have scored 15 goals in the past 3 games...yes the opposistion has been poor, but still lets give credit to our finishing which has been superb...

We have a near fully fit squad, our strikers are scoring goals,we are still water tight at the back..........all looking good!!

Haha... serioulsy though he had a lot of confidence today, dribbling pretty well, rafa shouldve left him on for the hat trick, moro took his goal well, cisse had luck but at least he made space for himself to take a shot. Riise's was spectacular...

Loved our passing as well...

We can only agree to disagree. I think it's a case of extremely poor opposition rather than us being absolutely blinding. Apart from Riise's and Crouch's second goal today, as well as Gerrard's goal at St James's, I can't see that many great finishes from the 15 goals.

Brum were clueless today. Not even a Championship performance from them.

Momo was ace, and the trio of him, Alonso and SG just help us overwhelm most midfields. Absolutely awesome.

Just shows ya how much of it is a little luck and confidence. Amazing really as I don't think we're playing that much better really. Even Gerrard said the same.

I reckon we have looked very drained lately apart from the last 2 games and really feared we had reached a burn out before the end of the season. However the new formation seems to have brought some new energy levels and an improvement to the overall play.

Against Fulham or Brum - what new formation? We played 4-4-2 with Gerrard on the right interchanging regularly with Kewell (left) and Garcia (forward). As we often do. We were helped tonight by some dreadful goalkeeping and defending but also a willingness to play more patiently than in recent weeks imo.

We play better football than we did with world class Baros in our side because we retain possession better which allows the team to push higher up the pitch.

Baros may have looked impressive but the team is better with Crouch in it.

Didn't we just beat Newcastle at the weekend playing with wingbacks, or did i dream that one, yeah its not 'new' but it hasn't been seen for a while and it seems to have worked wonders for the confidence, fluidity and energy of the team. Oh yeah and the last 3 teams we played were s**** but you can only beat whats in front of you.

edit - 1st post is fooked up, sorry. didn't mean it as it reads.
