StevieC Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Maik Taylor's charmed life against us crashes in spectacular fashion. Must be summat to do with that gypsy curse.

Barnesy_10 Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 just been on Redcafe and obviously they are focussing on the s***ness of Brum rather anything to do with us... one guy reckons a 10-0 for the mancs based on the fact we beat them 7-0... c'mon Brum!!!
stressederic Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 If Birmingham were a horse, Kahnee would have put them out of their misery after about 70 minutes. That was just astonishing. Firstly just how good we were, and secondly just how absolutely terrible Birmingham were. That was supposedly two Premiership sides out there. Luton were by far a better opposition then Birmingham were tonight. I just can't stop laughing.
Barnesy_10 Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 thing is we looked good without coming out of second gear... Sissoko slotted back in perfectly... Obviously the early goals helped a great deal, but theres so much confidence in the defence and Pepe that we weren't panicking..
Nebraska Red Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Birmingham City's terrible season plumbed new depths, as a first-half capitulation resulted in a 7-0 destruction at the hands of Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter finals. The cup had provided the only respite for Blues in what has been a shocking campaign for manager Steve Bruce, but their run came brutally to an end at the hands of Rafa Benitez's rampant Reds. from ssn.com. I love the way that they use "brutally"
Ombudsam Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Birmingham were embarrassingly bad. Almost felt sorry for pennant who managed to look quite good. Was pissing myself laughing all the way through.
floyd Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) I sooo wanted it to be 8. It just sort of makes an even bigger statement, because they are so rare.Still 15 goals so far in the FA cup is not so bad. might stop Geoff fvckin Shreeves asking Rafa about Burnley. Cvnt even forgot we won the Super cup, which Rafa put him right on. Edited March 22, 2006 by floyd
Paul B Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 One thing I haven't seen anyone mentioning is the brilliance of our defence. Don't laugh, Pennant caused us a few problems and Birmingham weren't ALL bad (alright, nearly all) but the defenders, and Reina in particular, were throwing themselves at everything even at 5-0, 6-0 and 7-0. It was as if we'd be going out the cup if Birmingham got one. It really was encouraging to see.
