jimmylibel Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 (edited) Chateauroux starlet Razak Boukari has confirmed Liverpool are looking to sign him. The 19-year-old revealed that Liverpool, Monaco and Lens have all expressed an interest in his services. Boukari is highly-regarded in France after a number of eye-catching performances in Ligue 2 with Chateauroux. The young midfielder claims Liverpool tried to him in January and although he is attracted to a move to England he does not believe he is ready to make the switch. "Several European clubs are following me regularly," Boukari told But magazine. "I could leave Chateauroux at the end of the season. "Monaco and Liverpool made offers in the winter transfer window, but Chateauroux didn't want to let me leave in the middle of the season. "Anyway it would have been too early. I am really attracted by England, but I am not ready." The French youth international admitted he was open to a move to Lens as he looks to continue his progression. "For example, I am very sensible with the Lens interest," added Boukari. "The club made an offer to Chateauroux. "It is very exciting, it could be the perfect springboard. It is a well run club." Falconhoof Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Rafa likes players to be keen to come here. I don't think this kid knows what he wants. If the European Champions come calling, you don't say 'oh but it might be a bit early for me, I might be better of at f***ing Lens' Next.

If the European Champions come calling, you don't say 'oh but it might be a bit early for me, I might be better of at f***ing Lens' Next. I think that's exactly the attitude Rafa would want from a player. Someone who put's his development as a player above the bright lights and big money. The job for Rafa would be to convince him that he can develop just as well here.
Falconhoof Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I'm keen to play for LFC. Sign me! Nah, you'd be better off going to Lens.

Link I'm not sure which is more worrying. Boukari talking to But Magazine or you 'reading' it.

Does this mean that you're anti-mockering him and he will be a success and well liked by the fans if he joins?
