Can't see Chelsea dropping that many more points, but......

1 Chelsea 30 39 75

2 Man Utd 29 29 63

game in hand + those two to play each other could get the lead down to 6 points...although it's the penultimate game, so it'll probably be in the bag by then:

Chelsea

Citeh (H)

Brum (A)

WHU (H)

Notlob (A)

Blues**** (H)

Blackburn (A)

Glams (H)

Mags (A)

Manc b'stards

Brum (H)

WHU (H)

Notlob (A)

Arsenal (H)

Mackems (H)

Spuds (A)

Boro (H)

Chels (A)

Charlton (H)

there, that should do for mockers

Rather have Chelsea buy it than United win it.

Agreed, hearing the media hype about Chelsea reaching 100 points or whatever is bad, but Man Utd with their amazing "comeback" in the end taking the title from Chelsea would be unberable, also would be their 16th..

Don't think they have any chance mind, Chelsea might be on bad form but they still always seem to manange to win, and they need to loose about 4 IF the Mancs can win the rest of their games, and they have a few hard ones left.. including chelsea.. so..

United will be Chelsea's last home game, so i'm sure the Mancs won't be too happy about the likelyhood of Chelsea parading the premiership trophy in front of them.

It's a bit like saying you prefer Hitler to Mussolini. :(

Well he had more ambition, didn't he? Mussolini was happy enough with Abyssinia and getting his famous trains running on time.

I can still see us taking 2nd.

Me too, I think Saturday's game is the key one for us. If we win that we might build up the momentum to go on a run.

United have a tough enough run-in

I can still see us taking 2nd.

Agree with that, especially if they have any more injuries. On paper, our run in is much easier :

25 Mar Everton H

01 Apr West Brom A

09 Apr Bolton Wanderers H

16 Apr Blackburn Rovers A

22 Apr West Ham United (postponed)

29 Apr Aston Villa H

07 May Portsmouth A

The mancs are the enemy, don't let short-term dislike of Chelsea detract from that.

I can't believe that anybody actually needs that stating

Will be interesting if Arsenal win Champions League and don't get 3rd or 4th place

2nd place team will have to play a qualifier and 4th placed team will miss out

hope arsenal don't win it as I somehow think it would take away from us winning it last year

can see us taking second - as we found out games in hand are not points on the board

Maybe it's time for Exlax to retire

Sir Alex Ferguson, perhaps in hope rather than expectation, has declared the title race reopened going into the final seven matches of the season. Ferguson himself had shut it several times this season, going back as far as January 3, but the Manchester United manager has reconsidered on the back of seven successive league wins.

The burst of form has reduced Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premiership from 15 points to nine. Paddy Power, the bookmaker that paid out on a Chelsea title last October, described their position as the equivalent of "leading 3-0 with five minutes remaining" but Ferguson was sufficiently confident to retract his previous statements that the gap was unassailable.

"I've always said football is an extraordinary game and there are always surprises waiting ahead," he said. "This weekend could be pivotal if Chelsea lose any points [at Birmingham City]. If that happens it could be a real turning point.

United have still got tough games to play where I can see them dropping points.

It'd be a bit fairy tale for us to suddenly run down Chelsea, but I can hope none the less.

Chelsea need to sort themselves out. They look like dropping points today at Birmingham. 0-0 at halftime.

MUST. NOT. LET. MANCS. WIN. TITLE.

agreed.. i have a fkin horrible feeling that if this stays 0-0 today then the Mancs wi....... no, no, NO! must not say it.... must stop thinking it...

If its a draw today, it gives West Brom and Manchester United all the more incentive to play well today. Bad news for us.

And yet I still can't bring myself to want Chelsea to score.

i know what you mean but short term pain an all that mate.. short term pain..

btw Jermaine Pennant can hold his head high if they do go down.. in the games i've seen him this season, including this, he's worked his a*** off and can be proud of his effort in trying to keep them up..

i threw a few quid on the c**** scoring another last second thrice-deflected goal at the end there so not only have they pissed me off with the result they've also left me a fiver out of pockets the dirty cheating bastids!

It's not inconceivable that Chelsea won't pick up that many more points over that run in.

United's is probably tougher truth be told, but they have the virtue of games in hand.

Notlob (A)

Arsenal (H)

Mackems (H)

Spuds (A)

Currently we're (if the Brum - Chelsea score stays the same) 15 points back, with

West Brom (PREM.)

17:15

Sun, 9th H Bolton (PREM.)

14:00

Sun, 16th A Blackburn (PREM.)

14:30 -

Wed, 26th A West Ham (PREM.)

19:45 -

Sat, 29th H Aston Villa (PREM.)

15:00 -

May

Sun, 7th A Portsmouth (PREM.)

15:00 -

I don't know, but somethings telling me this isn't over yet I think we're still well in with a shout for 2nd place at least. The Magic 8 Ball did say we'd win the league this season. I'm probably being wildly optmistic (probably?) but you never know.
