Bought it the other day, have been listening to it repeatedly since then. I like it, though am still slightly disappointed.

 

It's not as pared down as the press releases made it out to be (though I'm not exactly sorry to see the back of the 2-minute long outros on Sleeping With Ghosts).

 

The first half is great, especially the first 4 tracks or so, but from there on it gradually loses momentum. A lot of the songs felt like rehashed versions of their earlier stuff. Molko's lyrics aren't quite as sharp as before either.

 

VV was a great choice to do the duet on "Meds", not sure if Michael Stipe really added anything to "Broken Promise" though.
