I listened to the United v West brom game on the radio while I was driving south the other day, then later watched the game on sky (Where you chose your own game and see an hour of it). Three incidents stuck out clearly and made me realise that you can get a different perspective on a game depending on who is commentating.

First Allan Green was adamant United should have had a penalty for hand ball. He said he had watched the replay and it should have been given. On sky, it was hardly mentioned and they didn?t even show a replay. Second, Allan green was convinced Richardson had got the ball and it wasn?t even a free kick, let alone a booking. I saw it and he never got the ball and deserved a yellow card. Thirdly, United second penalty claim when Saha was brought down. Once again, Green was adamant it was a penalty, and once again sky didn?t and I cant remember a replay. Radio 5 made out Ronaldo had a fantastic game, but from what I saw he didn?t.

It just goes to show. Have you noticed this in other games?

So you're telling us different people have different opinions? Wow, some interesting insight there.

jonathan pearce covering fulham - chelsea on motd2 last night seemed to be watching a different game to me. tactical genius mourinho apparently according to pearce, where i saw mourinho admitting that he'd f***ed up his starting XI and humiliating two of his young players/

Pearce is a complete moron - should have stayed on Channel 5 where he belonged.

As for Green; well he's a Liverpool supporter, I was sat two seats from him at Liverpool v Monaco last season and there's not a shadow of a doubt there.

I think at times he's conscious of that fact, and in trying to be impartial actually over-compensates in favour of United in his commentary, which is why many Liverpool supporters have believed him a closet United fan over the years.

I like Green regardless of who he supports though...

Re the Richardson incident, I argued with my partner by phone that the ref was a c*** for booking him. When I saw it that night, we looked at each other and both agreed straight away it was a booking.

Thing is we all talk football in the pub, and can be made to look stupid when you argue about something you heard on the radio and then you see it on tv and its nothing like they said.

I know Green is a Liverpool fan, but I do like him.

He's a whopper, remember back in the days where Chelsea were being mullered by s**** like Tel Aviv and ST Gallen he used to put on a fake Italian accent and shout ROBERT DI MATTEO whenever he touched the ball, yet he never done it for Zola or Vialli or anything. He's an oddball.

Is that not some sort of euphemism?

i still enjoy listening to green. at least he voices an opinion rather than the insipid bbc tv presenters and pundits.

After experiencing Green on the Radio at Anfield a few months ago - I've decided that if the only coverage I can get is Radio 5 live on Digitial - then I'd rather miss the match and try and catch up with it later - ridiculous commentary - you can't tell what the feck is going on - the idiot keeps going off on 5 minute rambles - when he was blathering on last time - he missed three or four breaks, a corner and a couple of feisty tackles that led to promising free kicks.

I kept thinking 'Shut the feck up and tell the listeners what the hell is going on - you stupid tosser'

He f***ing did, It was Franco Zola this and Luca Vialla that. He f***ing loved it, talked about them like they were his mates down the pub. On his day though he is a good commentator and better than Motson.

It's probably happened to anyone who's ever been to a match.

Jamie Redknapp - i know he suffered all those injuries but does he have to be so lame in his " analysis " ?

Regarding Fulham Chelsea y/day, didnt know who the commentator was but when he described Mourinho as 'the master tactician' I just thought, youre a numpty.

Either he was revelling in the fact that he had to make a double sub after 25 minutes and was laughing at him or he is just an idiot, I dont know!
