Big E Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 I'll be there. Dunno about where to drink tho. any ideas welcome
Guest Sabre Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 This is plainly my fault as I'm finally getting along for a match. No wonder Will had a spare for me!
CarraLegend Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Earlier this season me and the lads who go just got a load of tins as it was a nice day, very unlikely to be the same again so we'll have to find a boozer, i'll just go anywhere in the City centre. Might just go in that one in Brum New Street station then straight out and get a taxi though.
Guest Sabre Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 CarraLegend, I'll buy you a pint Then you can have a go at me about Kromkamp again

Will Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 There's a decent boozer we went in before the League game this season - but I cannot remember what it is called. It's in a square. Which I know is very helpful. We also went in there for the City game the year before I think... Hally will know when he logs on this evening
Guest Sabre Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Most useful post of the day from Will I'll be at New Street at 6.45pm, mate. Will get a taxi over to the stadium.

Hally will know when he logs on this evening I think it might be the old joint stock just on temple row. The square is dominated by a church and is just behind the big house of fraser store that used to be called rackhams. It's a fullers pie and ale pub. Roughly mid way from new street and snow hill stations and easy to get buses and taxis from to the ground.
Rahul Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Will, you referring to the Square Peg? Not a bad boozer. I'm at Aston Uni and can see the ground from my kitchen, but unfortunately don't have a ticket. I'll be in the pub watching it with some of the lads.
Guest Sabre Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Birmingham are selling them on general sale to fill the stadium if you don't mind sitting with the home fans

Hally will know when he logs on this evening and hopefully will send it around by email rather than posting it. I'm no longer sure if I'm going as I have a bout of woman flu. Known as pneumonia to men. Edited March 20, 2006 by Tetti

CarraLegend Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Afraid that's gone now mate. All windows whitewashed when I got home yesterday. Cheers for that mate. Even though it was a s***hole it was handy as you could walk from there straight out into a taxi outside.

Missed the league game (well, boycotted it on account of the price) but am going to this. Was there a problem or are you expecting lumber?
