Imagine his team talks now he doesn't know if Rafa will play 442 or the system we played today. He'll have almost no time to prepare his players for the tactical options and he'll know we are coming off the back of 8 goals in 2 games from 7 different players spreading the goals around.

I think we'll stick with the 3 centre halfs.

Whether it be 442, 343, 2341 or 34523, we're going to crush these brummies. I can't stand their bleeding accents, so we'll need to score early to shut their fans up.

At the time we weren't averaging 4 goals a game. Now we are. That's why I'm sure Brum will succumb with little difficulty. And the fact they're sh*t.

Is it true Steve Bruce is the only manager Rafa hasnt beaten out of all the Premiership teams (but wins not necessarily coming in the Prem) he's played since coming to England?

Correct.

Steve bruce is a tactical mastermind.

Yes we've beaten all of the teams in the Premiership, apart from Man Utd and Chelsea, although we also beat them two in the FA Cup and CL.

With Birmingham it was 0-1 [home] and 0-2 [away] last season, and 2-2 [away] and 1-1 [home] this season (with our score being first).

Time to end the jinx on Tuesday ..

Steve Bruce will welcome a game when the outcome does not have any effect on his league position.

He can tell his players that we have not beaten them in ages and they can go out and give it all.

It will be a tough game on Tuesday and I reckon a draw will satisfy the manager as we do not have a fixture pile up in our future any more.

I would not be surprised to see a 4-5-1 at the start of the game.

But one game ago we were averaging 5.

A good story in one of the Rafa books is when Raneri took over at Valancia one of the defenders asked what system they would use in Defence, Raneri thought that as they were so successful he would just 'carry on in the same system as Rafa used' the defender answered ' we used about 10 different systems depending on the opposition' Raneri walks away scatching his head...

FAO Cardinal Fang, I suggest you may be guilty of paying over the odds.

You think that's bad, how do you reckon David Gold feels?

nah, newc was experimental, back to 442 I reckon, the usual suspects, strongest lineup we have as Rafa wants this cup more than 2nd place.

Finnan Carra Hyppia Warnock

Garcia Alonso Gerrard Kewell

Crouch Morientes

Traore

Fowler

Cisse

Hamman
