Dominus Maximus Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Showed once again, that he has the potential. Can be our next CB for the next ten years. At 5 mil thats a steal. Brilliant today.
Guest RedIsMyColour Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 He looks really comfortable on the ball and once he adjusts some more he will be quality.
Dominus Maximus Posted March 19, 2006 Author Posted March 19, 2006 And he is only 21. With Momo, Danny, even Xabi still very young, this team will develop and hopefully give us that premiership trophy. Now go get us a striker and we will be ready next season...
lfc003 Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 very good game for him today, impressed again by Krompkamp today as well
Scally Bob Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 He looks the part. Excellent on our second goal. Has a look of Gary Gillespie about him.
Falconhoof Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 That was no game to judge him on. He had little to do against a poor side. Shearer was quiet today. Not saying he's not going to be a good player for us, but lets see how he copes against tougher tests.

Ste M Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Reina 23Kromkamp 24Agger 21Riise 25Stevie 25Momo21Xabi 23Harry 26Crouchy 25 A young spine there that could be together for a few years, plus we still have the likes of Barragan, Hobbs, Roque, Anderson to come through. The future is bright.
Falconhoof Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 defensively, i agree, but looked great on the ball. Fair comment. His touch is excellent, his passing very good. I'm just very wary of hyping players up before they are settled in. What the hell, he's an excellent buy.
baja the hut Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 didn't he bring the ball up from the back for the second goal?
madskilz Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 He played a cracking Xabi ball across the field to Garcia, looks very promising

Dominus Maximus Posted March 19, 2006 Author Posted March 19, 2006 Don't we usually give marks out of 10? No, it was a comment about the players age...
Benitez Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Don't we usually give marks out of 10? As for Aggy (heh!), he's settling in just fine thakyerverymuch.Looks pretty classy already. Him and Kromp have settled in nicely.
Benitez Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I make it a personal mission to annoy as many people as is possible, with my childish nicknames
Guz Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 He and Kromkamp both did well. Great to see Agger run the ball out of defence for the 2nd goal rather than just stop at the half way line
Guest Aussie_Red Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 (edited) His distribution of the ball from the back is fantastic. You can tell he is a very good player by just watching him on the ball. His composure is also class. Our second goal came from him taking the ball all the way forward as well. Playing as a left-back he actually let some players in because he was positioning himself in the centre far too early. Perhaps Benitez told him to do that, but there were a few times where their right wingers were in without contest due to him being out of position. Still Agger played very good today and I wonder if he should play more matches as a left-back for experience. I think he is going to be one of the best defenders in Europe in his prime. Benitez Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 He and Kromkamp both did well. Great to see Agger run the ball out of defence for the 2nd goal rather than just stop at the half way line that shocked me that did! Not seen much of that for years! It was great. He's very comfortable on the ball, and seems to have no problem settling into the more physical nature of the prem. He's gonna be alright that kid!
Bodie Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 yeah i have been impressed too but i hope he got a right rocket up his ass for gifting the goal to fulham last wednesday - the square ball infield was shockingly casual... having said that he does look good ;-)

He was trying to shield it and had it nicked off him.
