Paul B Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 They said straight away they were happy to change the date and time of our game at Ewood Park and Hughes today has re-iterated this. Let's give credit where it is due and a right righteous BIG UP going out to Sparky (sorry, sorry, got quite carried away there) Mark Hughes and his Blackburn Rovers outfit. Well done, sir!
stressederic Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Very impressed with how Blackburn have behaved during all of this.
lfc003 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 they are sneaking up the league table as well, playin some decent football
Guest DanTheDaggerman Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Strangely, he's the one ex-Manc that I have time for. I can't stand the likes of McClaren or Bruce, but I think Hughes is OK. I was always scared when he played against us. I remember the goal(s?) he scored in that FA Cup game when he played for Chelsea and they came back from 2-0 down at Stamford Bridge. As much as I hated that turnaround, I was impressed by the impact he had on that game. Fair play on Rovers for making the change for us. They could have been arsey about it, but they've gone about it with the minimum of fuss.

Guest hagis Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Blackburn to deserve a lot of credit for being so flexible. Moving the time / date of the match twice was very good of them, particularly when you consider how other managers are moaning about fixture congestion.
Benitez Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Mark Hughes deserves a lot of credit, obviously for this, but also for the season Rovers are having! What a great job they did in getting Newcastle to actually pay compensation for Souness, and then getting Hughes in as manager. But his comments about this game, and the respectful way he and Blackburn have dealt with it, is to their credit.

Unfortunately it would appear he's a grounded, talented manager. That bodes ill for future vacancies in Salford.
Scally the Wag Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Hope he gets to see comments like these...
Nerik Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Very nice of them. Let's hope we do not see any other leg breaks there now.
