Our players who are out on loan

We seem to have more players out on loan than anyone, and they either have, or have to potential to be worth a few bob. Why aren't we just getting rid of them?

 

By my count, the ones out on loan are:

 

Bruno Cheyrou

Chris Kirkland

Scott Carson

Anthony LeTallec

Florent Sinama-Pongolle

Neil Mellor

Carl Medjani

 

That lot have to be worth a few million. Why not cash in on them?

Carson and Pongolle I'd be surprised if we sold. The others will surely depend on money offered and if anyone is interested.

We seem to have an embarassment of riches when it comes to goalkeepers. I was surprised we signed that young lad form Milton Keynes earlier on in the year.

 

Dudek and Kirkland will leave this summer, though

 

I think Reina will be our number one for a decade, so we'll always have a revolving door for reserve keepers

Has Diao had many games at Portsmouth? They're not a team I follow closely but I get the impression that he's hardly played since Redknapp came back.

Problem with the likes of Diao and Cheyrou - both will be on silly wages here, so why would they want to be sold? Best of both worlds aint it - play elswhere, and still get daft wages. But both contracts are surely up soon, so they will be gone. Doubt we get anything for them to be honest.

 

The rest, I'm sure if buyers can be found for some in the summer they will be gone. Again, not sure on contract status of some, Medjani and Potter for instance - will they have long left on a contract? And players like those two, Foy, Whitbread, Willis etc etc, I can see going for free, or very nominal fees.

 

Kirkland is probably the most expensive player there (that we paid for), that we'll struggle to get much back on this summer tho, cos again he's had an injury ravaged season, plus lost his starting place at mighty West Brom of all teams.

A much more thorough list than I came up with. That's depressing. By my count that is 22 millions quids worth of players that we have just p*ssed away.
