As many times as ManU have ! - It wasn't meant to be a particularly negative against them, but if you had silly amounts of money, you'd (I'd) look at the really famous sides first (Us / ManU) and/or the bigger London clubs.

 

Without wanting to get into 'big' definitions again (we're obviously the biggest anyway), I'd have thought Villa wouldn't be a target for that sort of person/money. Then again, that other (division 2) oil barron went halfies on Portsmouth, so who knows.

Well right now I wouldn't mind a sugar daddy for our club. All we'd need from him is £200M to build a new stadium, £100M to buy a new squad, and £xM to pay off our debts. Then he can feck off and leave the supporters in charge.

No it started off almost as a wind-up of the barcodes, i.e. it wasn't Spurs. Then went on to rule out NUFC as well.

 

I was thinking maybe Villa, but they're not a great name, nor from the Smoke.
