R A Softlad Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I can see Crouchy grabbing a couple if he plays.
Toe Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I'm going to predict 4 - 3 to us with a last minute winner.

Guest wezza Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 That would suggest to me we are going 3-5-2Warnock and Kromkamp wing backs....???
psl Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Very surprised Robbie's not playing as he can't play on Tuesday. What's up with Finnan?

JGL Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 That would suggest to me we are going 3-5-2Warnock and Kromkamp wing backs....??? That was my first thought too. Would be quite interesting.

abc Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Looks like an attacking 3-5-2. Nice. Hopefully Cisse gets a chance in the middle.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I'm going to predict 4 - 3 to us with a last minute winner. maybe if it was at Anfield
Ronnie Whelan Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 (edited) NO matter how much you sit down and try to get into Rafa's mind set you never ever will. No-one could have predicted that line-up and certainly not glen roeder. If it does end up being a 3-5-2 then rafa is going straight for the juggular today. Everyone knows the barcodes are very weak in the centre, so thats where to go get them and in that regard, crouch anc cisse are probably our best attacking line up to exploit that. Cooldude Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 (edited) Looks more like: Kromkamp Carra Sami Agger WarnockHamannGerrard KewellCisse Crouch 3-5-2 that's more like a 3-1-4-2 potentially with Kewell drifting central and play behind the strikers, similar to what we played 2nd half Istanbul Edited March 19, 2006 by Cooldude
Kite Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 That line up looks awful, on paper - where's finnan? Traore on the bench instead!? Kronkamp was awful against Arsenal, if he has another stinker today there is noone to replace him. Looks set up to counter-attack I suppose but very surprising choice. Hope it works.

Depends on what formation we are playing. If Kromkamp is playing at RWB then we have plenty of options if things dont go our way, i.e. reverting to 4-4-2 with goal scoring warnock pulling back and brining on either luis or xabi. This is of course without even considering djimi.
Ombudsam Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 NO matter how much you sit down and try to get into Rafa's mind set you never ever will. Pointless isn't it. i had a feeling Cisse may play and that was it. I hope it doesn't turn out 442 as I think Ameobi and shearer may monster Agger in the air. We played 352 there last year didn't we? Hope it turns out better
psl Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Morientes was doing so well, getting picked every week. Then he goes and scores, pisses the manager off and gets dropped from the squad completely. Schoolboy error really... Nice seeing Owen's St James' hat-trick again. He absolutely terrified them didn't he? That third goal was special.
Cunny Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 we play again in 48 hours, so any team selection/formation surprises will have been dictated by the next match
