Guest Red Mist Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Unbelievable what they named this website, supposedly for an appeal of some sort. Truly pathetic. I for one will not be donating. http://www.only1treble.com/
Ostrich Man Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 (edited) youd recognise bitterness alright. pot....kettle Edited March 17, 2006 by Ostrich Man
R A Softlad Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Decent of them to raise money for the fella however the website might let them down when it comes to finding the site.
Paul B Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Although the title is a no-no for us lot, you can't help but agree with the sentiments behind the existence of such a site.
John am Rhein Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Surely the title is apt: they have only 1 treble whereas we have two
ifanew Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Unbelievable what they named this website, supposedly for an appeal of some sort. Truly pathetic. I for one will not be donating. http://www.only1treble.com/ What the hell should it matter what the name of the website is? No football fan should go to support his team, regardless of who they are, and end up in hospital. The name of the website isn't the "Truly pathetic" thing about this thread. Make an effort and read about the "appeal of some sort" before spouting off.
Cobs Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 the poor bloke. Red Mist you really are a f*ckin t0sser.
Guest JV Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 the poor bloke.Red Mist you really are a f*ckin t0sser.Have to agree with that.
Guest Red Mist Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I'm sorry but I can't see how the domain name is in any way related to the plight of this man, other than he being a ManUre fan. The title is an obvious poke at us and for an appeal, is totally crass.
Stanley Leisure Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 (edited) nothing to see here. Edited March 17, 2006 by Stanley Leisure
Cunny Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 What a terrible thing to happen to anyone.Did they catch the c**** that did this? The appeal is a worthy one but why did they give that name to the website? It does not bother me but I can't see it being very good if people ar trying search for it.
Guest Red Mist Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Some people here are too damn PC for their own good. I'm not belittling the victim or the appeal, only the f*cking name. If you can't see what's wrong with the domain name then you're either blind, or more likely going by the responses here, too far up their own self-righteous a*** to see things clearly.

What exactly is wrong with the domain name in your eyes?
StuGib Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 The domain was registered in November 04, 6 months before the incident, so I'd imagine the site started off as an LFC-baiting site but he offered to host the appeal pages.
NWR Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Not really, it comes naturally. The only thing c*** about all this is the people who create a website trying to illicit sympathy whilst at the same time taking a cheap shot at one of their football rivals. It's sad that you're unable to see this.I don't think any of us would stoop so low. www.5timeshaveitmancs.com would not be an appropriate name for a charitable appeal on behalf of Liverpool fans, it would be as tasteless as this manc website. This site had 5 European cups at the top of the page> is that a cheap shot at the resident mancs? I am sure you will find some justification for it. Maybe its just the fact that Liverpool fans are proud of their teams achievements? Maybe us manc "scum" are proud of the fact that we won the treble? Who knows? Maybe we do like to take a dig at you lot about the fact you have never won a treble with that combination of cups? So what? Its football is all. You generalise and say we are all scum. Was the victim of the thread scum as well? Did he deserve what he got?

However the two are completely different.

Should they have named it www.thejamieturnerappeal.co uk ? How many hits would that get?

They don't have to be crass in order to get some attention.

Get over it.
Des Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Shut up Red Mist, you're making a king-sized c*ck of yourself.
Montse Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I have to say that I am not in slightest bit offended by the name and cant even see a dig at us lot - I hope the guy gets well soon, no one needs to go through that.
