What the hell should it matter what the name of the website is? No football fan should go to support his team, regardless of who they are, and end up in hospital. The name of the website isn't the "Truly pathetic" thing about this thread. Make an effort and read about the "appeal of some sort" before spouting off.

I'm sorry but I can't see how the domain name is in any way related to the plight of this man, other than he being a ManUre fan. The title is an obvious poke at us and for an appeal, is totally crass.

The domain was registered in November 04, 6 months before the incident, so I'd imagine the site started off as an LFC-baiting site but he offered to host the appeal pages.

I don't think any of us would stoop so low. www.5timeshaveitmancs.com would not be an appropriate name for a charitable appeal on behalf of Liverpool fans, it would be as tasteless as this manc website.

As I said, if this was a website dedicated to an appeal AND was given a name that was aimed at provoking other football fans, I would be just as disgusted. However the two are completely different.

Web sites are found by searching for words and combinations of words. What did you type in to find that site? Should they have named it www.thejamieturnerappeal.co uk ? How many hits would that get?

Other appeals are given such names, and they attract enough attention. They don't have to be crass in order to get some attention.

Someone's already pointed out that the website was set-up before the incident. The owner of the domain probably donated it to the appeal.
