gkmacca Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Ah, wasn't aware they were in deep poop, that being the case its probably nowt and just me making 2+2 add up to 5 ..... Just that a guy I occasionally work with, who is based in Geneva, mentioned that Parry had been in contact with their office over there although he had no idea as to why. This was about a week ago so I guess he could have been on the scrounge for tickets to the car show... Maybe he wanted a novelty car-themed tie to wear on match day.
Eskimo Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Maybe he wanted a novelty car-themed tie to wear on match day. ...... I'm guessing its the group as a whole that's in the poop and not just the US operation, anyone?
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 The US operation is well & truly f***ed. I'd be surprised if they don't go down some Chapter 11 route before 18 months are up. As for the Group, dunno
Spike Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Maybe he wanted a novelty car-themed tie to wear on match day. He's buying a fecking clown car! I can actually visualise him and crouch getting out of one. (not a dig at either of them btw more at how daft it would be)
Herbie von Smalls Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 i've heard rumblings of LG, the crowd that make phones and stuff. its not come from anything super reliable, but a few seperate finance bods have mentioned it to methere was an article t'other day in one of the national dailies about a supposed LG sponsorship deal for man utd, in the region of £40m
Kite Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 General Motors revenue for the last twelve months was $193,250,000,000. I hope some day I can be as "f***ed" as that
Kite Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 and its loss was $8,600,000,000yeah, I should have read on a bit further now I see! - didn't know they were the idiots that made "Hummers"
Spike Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 the rate that hummers get blown in iraq, you'd think they'd be doing better
Mono Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Maybe Parry was ringing to see if they'll take Cissés Hummer back.....Losing all his wages on parking fines... That's why his confidence is shattered and his mind is elsewhere
Red2Core Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 some guy RAWK thinks Lakshmi Mittal is the investor
Herbie von Smalls Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 some guy RAWK thinks Lakshmi Mittal is the investor is it a wild guess or is there anything to back up that notion?
stressederic Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 and its loss was $8,600,000,000 They've obvioualy given all that cash to us.
Guest Cardie Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 http://www.forbes.com/static/bill2005/LIRR...l?passListId=10 Kerching! The numpty who got into that mess with Blair then.
stressederic Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 http://www.forbes.com/static/bill2005/LIRR...l?passListId=10 Kerching! The numpty who got into that mess with Blair then. By the looks of that map, he's earned an awful lot of his money from Meccano products. Maybe he can help build our stadium.
Rushian Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 some guy RAWK thinks Lakshmi Mittal is the investor some guy's post has since been deleted for being absolute b******s
Eskimo Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 (edited) Ok a bit more to add, the bloke he's been in contact with is Jonathan Browning and he is the VP for GM Europe and is responsible for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales.... Edited March 17, 2006 by Eskimo
Cisse Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Top bloke Jonathan and a true footballer he is. This is even more exciting thoughwww.saab.com/microsites/aero_x/GLOBAL/en/index2.shtml - 3k -
impware Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 (edited) To add a tenuous link, that would be the same Jonathan Browning that used to be the managing director of Jaguar Cars Ltd. and would have probably spent time up at Halewood. Edited March 17, 2006 by impware
super_pickle Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I won't want to us to have anything to do with LG personally, mainly due to the fact they are called Lucky Goldstar! Could you imagine if we give the sponser the name of the stadium we could all be going to the Lucky Goldstar stadium! So no thanks
SkippyjonJones Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 GM have just announced that they made a mistake intheir accounting and the loss for 2005 was actually $10 billion not the previously stated $8billion. so I guess that $2 billion they had earmarked for project Anfield has just dissappeared.
Kite Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Wasn't the rumour we were going to lend off GM to buy David Trezeguet (around 2001)?Would David Trezeguet then have to be renamed to "Vauxhall Corsa Trezeguet" or something?
