MikeK88 Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 Im not being smug, i was merely wondering if after all they said about Liverpool they still agree with? They seemed to jump to the conclusion that Liverpool didn't give a rats ass about the families. I would never be smug over such a sensitive matter, thats just being extremely disrespectful.

MikeK88 Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 Read the post above and you will see i was not gloating. I apologise if my choice of words were not the best.

MikeK88 Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 Do you think? Sure supporter pressure would have something to do with it, but I honestly think that they do care. When was contact made to the support group, June? It seems they thought of this well in advance, along with perhaps a few eagle eyed supporters. I hope it is moved though, especially seeing as a few slots have been freed they have no reason not to surely?

anny road Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 LIVERPOOL are trying to move their match at Blackburn from April 15 to avoid a clash with the annual Hillsborough Memorial service at Anfield. Liverpool had settled on a kick-off time of 5.15pm on the Saturday but now they are out of the Champions League are trying to switch the game. Chief executive Rick Parry said: "This is an issue we were aware of right at the start of the season and that's why we contacted the Hillsborough Families' Support group last June. They said they accepted that, sadly, one day it might be an inevitability we'd have to play on April 15. "Now we are out of Europe, there may be some scope to look once again but it's not just our fixtures to consider, it's Blackburn's as well and this is their home fixture. We have already been in touch with the Premier League and Blackburn to ask the question." Blackburn are are expected to make a decision today. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liv...-name_page.html
