Carra, you can see that he is the quickest to work out a situation, take Istanbul for example, while everyone was celebrating getting the pen, he was the only player to be calm enough to ask for Gattuso to be sent off. Thats a quality I Like in a manager, keeping your head when all around are losing theirs.

that's a good insight Kieran - I may or may not have blasted you in the past - can't remember, but I'm mightily impressed with that observation

and it's common knowledge that Carra is a keen student of the game and watches every type of footie on the telly

after him I would say Didi and Xabi - but if we've learned one thing, it's that you never know, and a manger seldom reflects his former playing style (Kenny - latterly, Graham, Hoddle, etc)

I think you need to look wider than talented players.

Paul Jewell hardly got a sniff of our 1st team and his management career is ahead of most of our players from that era.

Rafa, Mourinho, Wenger, Ferguson...none of them international footballers.

So i'm going for Stevie Warnock.

Xabi with Carra as his assistant.

Good cop bad cop routine with Carra doin the ass kickin

I'm amazed that noboby has mentioned Stevie. I go for Chris Kirkland - he's spent a long time watching from the side lines.

I expect he'll be a terrible manager, if a manager at all.

i'd be scared s**tless of goin into dressin room at full time after a defeat wi Carra in charge

i would be with Souness

it doesnt stop his teams losing alot does it

There seems to be a tendency to think of Carra as a barker, like Thommo. I don't think the lad gets enough credit for his intelligence. Yeah he's from Liverpool and doesn't come off as urbane and suave as multi-lingual Xabi but I think he's got a brilliant football brain.

I can see Carra going into coaching, and I can see him being world class at it.

Agree with that. I also see him as a people person, able to see and think round the views of others. I voted for Carra but also think Xabi would make it.
