New York Red Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Thanks very much for your hospitality lads. I had a really great time meeting all of you. Carl -- good luck with the coaching, Will -- great pics mate, take care of that shirt! Bob -- it was a pleasure talking with someone sane in a sea of insanity. Jonesy -- don't let them give you any sh*t about being Welsh. Andy -- great choice for the curry. Anny -- I haven't seen anyone that bladdered since I was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras! Vlad -- great haircut pal, and you should do voice-overs when they need Scouser accents on the tele, it truly is the best one ever. I'd been looking forward to it for so long and it was everything I expected it to be. You really made me feel at home. It was excellent being able to actually talk intelligently with people in person about LFC -- I never, ever get to do it. Now, if only you'd warned me about that sh*t-hole of a hotel I got a room in -- Jesus, what a dump.
Will Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Which hotel were you in? Great to meet you - and thanks so much for the t-shirt. It is waiting to go into the wash before I model it for the first time...
RP Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Thanks for the curry, mate. It was great to meet you and have a few beers - maybe in happier circumstances next time!
Leo No.8 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 My train was late and I didn't get into the ground until right before the kick off Finally made it to The Oakie last night before the game though, and met a few of the lads which was good. Sorry I missed out on meeting you NYR, Vlad told me a good time was had by all!
Vlad JNR Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 It was nice to see you NYR, a pleasure in fact I'm also glad you like my haircut! I owe you a pint too when your next over!

Jonesy Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 did anyone buy the poor lad a beer?vultures the lot of ye I think Anny Road did. Not that he'll remember anything about! I just completely lost my manners to my fellow Welshman. I will however make up for it next time
Andy @ Allerton Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Pleasure meeting you mate - and thanks for the curry - I will get you one back and a few pints next time I make it over to NY
Leo No.8 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Yonder forum members partake in much promising of ale, yet not too much buying methinks...
RP Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I am sure NYR is quite happy with the number of beers that he received - he bought us all a curry which was very generous of him but up to that point, beers were bought by all, I think.

Pre match on Wednesday I bump into him on his way to the ground. Knowing that he got the train over I asked him if he watned a lift back. He said he'd meet me in toh oakie after the match. I waited for an hour for the useless fecker and he didn't turn up!
