JohnBonham Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 (edited) Police have confirmed three Middlesbrough fans were stabbed and 10 others injured during violent clashes with Roma supporters. Anyone think that Italian clubs will be banned from Europe ? Weren´t Liverpool fans treated in the same way before the 1984 European cup final against Roma? Edited March 15, 2006 by JohnBonham
cymrococh Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Roma are a right dirty bunch of c*nts aren't they?
Bigal Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Aye, its not the most friendly european away I have been to
Suth Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 they are nasty fookers. Italian clubs should be turfed out but uefa are a bunch of sh'thouses.
CarraLegend Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Some of their fans getting stabbed was probably one of the most predictable things you could ever find. Horrid f*****s are some Roma fans, when we were out there for the 2-0 (Owen 2) my mate got slashed right down his left leg. f***ing c****.
Guest roger Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Dont cross the river bridge to the stadium people say. How else can you cross the river?
madaboutlfc Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 aye.. Roma was my first euro away.. not a good experience having bottles of piss thrown at you and the police being w*****s
Buzz Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Weren't there stories our fans being "Rescued" by Lazio fans when they were chased through the streets by Roma fans. They ended up in the Lazio quarter, and boy, do Lazio hate Roma. (Was it Lazio....?)
Gray - YPC Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 After the 2001 UEFA Cup game I got a letter from Merseyside Police asking me to ring them in connection with the stabbings. Seeing as I wasn't even at the match it was a bit f***ing bizarre. Evidently someone who got treated for thier injuries over there had/gave the same name as me, and as the bizzies were following it up they wanted to get in contact. The thing that's always puzzled me is how the f*** they got my address!! My season ticket was not in my name, we didn't have fan cards then, and I wasn't in the old ITC of the supporters club or anything... still puzzles me that does!!
Guest Kev Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 According to SSN. Boro fans were in a couple of bars in a square and around 70 odd Roma Ultras came out of nowhere throwing flares into the Boro fans, the police stood by and watched and when more police arrived they decided to baton charge the fleeing Middlesbrough fans. Sound familiar ?

Sound familiar ? Italian tanks - 1 gear forwards 5 for reverse. The way they behave backs that old adage up - Italian hooligans seem genuinely cowardly, attacking only en masse, in their own back yard and with weapons. And the police haven't even got the balls to deal with them when they kick off. Fking horrible - every team that goes over there in Europe gets the same yet they escape serious punishment again and again...
Guest Red Mist Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Italian fans ARE cowards. A single Italian footie fan would never take on an Englishman mano-a-mano, as we've seen throughout the course of Italian hooliganism history. They're a bunch of pansies who attack in packs like wolves. And they only ever do it in Italy, you won't hear a peep out of them when they travel away, the pussies.

The bizzies weren't interested until a few scousers had enough & battled back. Then Nazio appeared... According to SSN. Sound familiar ?doesn't sound like the Italian fans. But, as it was away from the ground, UEFA will do nothing. Hope Boro stuff the life out of them
Herbie von Smalls Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Italian tanks - 1 gear forwards 5 for reverse.reminds me of that old bernard manning joke... the italians are changing their national flag, from the green, white and red to a white cross on a white background.
SKITTLE Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 After 84 I swore I would never go back there. Pity really,as 77 was boss.
