If I moan about my team when you can do so legitamately it stops me snapping at people for no reason at people who don't deserve it. And if i'm well happy about my team and talk them up it stops me from being a smiling goon all day long.

'sonly internet anyway. Stuff i say here isn't gonna end hurting josemi's feelings

If I were a City fan, I would look at footy through doom laden glasses. They have nothing other than mid table mediocrity to look forward to, they might make the odd run in the cups and beat Man U once a year.

We have got lots to be positive about. A great keeper, a good defence , 2 world class midfielders and we should be Champions of the World. We can move to the next level with the addition of 3 or 4 players, City need so much more.

And finally, of course you are daft, that goes without saying.

I think we should all cut each other a bit more slack over what gets posted on the forum. The amount of scorn and vitriol over the smallest things is the stuff of school playgrounds sometimes.

Its all just words on the internet at the end of the day.

It's a day by day thing I reckon..

You can't always be optimistic all the time.. I'm optimistic but with a sprinkling of negativity..

if you're guilty of over-optimism anny, so am i.

i choose to look for positives and, while still acknowledging there may be some, don't dwell on the negatives.

when all around seem to be forecasting doom anny, you're seeking that golden sky. i thought that was the ethos of the club's support.

i've never understood why pessimists bother following football at all. it's a recipe for disaster, football will always supply more negatives than positives. perhaps it's there as a grounding mechanism for the pessimist, to have something in which to sink their worries and concerns. i've always seen football as a half-full glass, otherwise i don't think you'd ever really take any joy from it.

a good mate of mine is a villa fan who goes into every match with the outlook that he's happy if they even score, never mind win. differing levels of expectation based on the club which chose you i suppose.

For me football is your emotional rollercoaster. A defeat at 2.00 pm Saturday afternoon puts a cloud over the rest of the weekend. A victory and the wifes scraping me off the ceiling like a discarded pancake.

Football gets under your skin and thats why things get heated from time to time. Id rather people show passion be it pessimism or optimism or both than not show passion at all
