completely given up on him.

i dont care if he scores in the next 3/4 games. he's been consistently poor since he arrived and he has had all the time to try and adapt.

im not faulting his workrate or his ability in general, but he can;t score in the premiership its too quick for him.

and he has no pace.

he'll go off to a european team in the summer and score freely again.

but for us hes been an unmitigated disaster.

having said that, none of our forwards have been better so its a bit unfair to single him out as he's probbaly the best forward we have which is a damning indictment on the calibre of strikers we have

i hate to be over pesimistic about our players

but i have to admit i gave up on morientes just before the arsenal match at home, it was the simple fact that when he lined up a shot, he`d actually miss the ball all together, never mind scuff it, but actually kick fresh air :o

id be surprised if he even got a single goal from now until his imminent departure

Nah, he was just doing this:

It's not so much the fans giving up on him, it looks for all the world as though he's given up himself.

He does all his best work well away from goal and just doesn't get in positions where he can score (or more to the point, to miss).

His body language suggests he is plain unhappy to be here, he is so lacking in the verve that used to be a feature of his game. He reminds me a bit of Sol Campbell in the lead up to him walking out on Arsenal - a once great player who can't cope with the fact that he is no longer in his prime and his talents are deserting him.

Hope I'm wrong but he seems mentally shot to me and both the club and player would benefit if he moved to a less pressurised environment. Maybe Everton, like.

He?s a mere shadow of his former self, in Spain I remember him coming off the bench for RM looking like a matador about to deliver the final blow, now he just shuffle?s about with Chris Waddle?s slouch. It?s so pitiful but it?s never gonna happen for him in the Premiership. :(

I won't give up on him until he's no longer a Liverpool player, and I love what he brings to the team when the whole team is purring like a well-tuned engine. Those two golas against Boro etc...

That said, I would not be that surprised to see Moro and Cissé on the move in the summer, as it's clear that we need something big to happen up front. With fully firing strikers the space would also be there for Luis to bag a few more and maybe Harry too.

You still think those two (Kewell & Garcia) will be here next season then ?

Don't know how anybody can even contemplate giving up on Nando! ;)

The man links up play so well it's unfair to say he's slow, s**** and doesn't score goals. :bleh:

Agree with that. His morale and confidence is lower than a snake's belly..

why the feck would rafa want to sell kewell?

He's put so much faith in him and now he is fit, he is repaying it. been one of our top three players since he got a run in the team again.

Maybe we should play Riise in left midfield so we can push kewell up front. I fancy him to get goals far more than any of our other strikers.

So you think he'll manage a goal. I may be in a minority on this but i agree about shunting him up front but only next season once we've a goalscorer.

Kewell's form has notably tailed off the past few games and i'm a big fan of his

been given a break the past few games, so we'll see how he does coming back.

throw him up front with Cisse, play riise in LM (I fancy Riise to score more than nando too) and... <shudder> Warnock or Traore at lb... :(

i think a front line of kewell and garcia might be as good as the one we have at the moment, hey even riise and hyppia could get more goals than the present lot
