realtarragona Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 So? He took the piss all game. I'd be a bit arrogant if I was that good.
Guest Red Mist Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 He needs to show some joy in his goals. What a stuck up c***.
Swipe Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 I hate him. He's immense, but I hate everything about him. So slapable.
Kenny_ Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 I think we all agree that he's a great player but that isn't an excuse for behaving like an arrogant t*** IMO.
stressederic Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Lets be honest here, Henry's arrogance is nowhere near someone like Mourinho's arrogance. Henry is well within his rights to be a tad pleased with his abilities, because he can back it up, and has just given us the run around. It's not like he was laughing in our faces.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 nothing wrong with Henry's demeanor to me. If someone ran around shouting 'I'm the f*cking man', I'd find that a bit more irritating. Henry is laid back - good on him. He doesn't shove it people's faces.
Will Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Sorry, but if anyone has a problem with Henry's celebrations they need to get over themselves.
Elisha_Scott Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 I love Henry, he is f***ing class and he knows it, he has the bit of arrogance required to perform on the big stage. Self-confidence added to ability is a potent weapon.
Owen1978 Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 (edited) Henry is a class player and if it comes across as arrogant then what he's achieved on the park has given him the right to be arrogant. I would love him at Anfield. Exactly! Thats what needed in a top class striker, so if he misses a couple of sitters he doesnt fall to pieces ala nando, heskey Edited March 12, 2006 by Owen1978
darucs112 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 He needs to show some joy in his goals. What a stuck up c***. The same could be said about Rafa Benitez. When have you ever seen Rafa throw his arm up in Joy when we score? answer is never. you never see rafa get excited when we score. so are you now going to say that Rafa doesn't care? It's sour grapes if you ask me and it's pathetic. People show their emotions differently but it doesn't mean they are arrogant.your post is arrogant and everybody that said henry is arrogant should take a good look at benitez when he scores.
Herbie von Smalls Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 i don't think henry's arrogant so much as not as cool as he thinks he is. most exciting player in english football on his day though.
bobbyboulders Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 He's class. The people sniping about his arrogance are probably the same ones that snipe about him not doing it in big games. Get a grip for f*** sake.
Ostrich Man Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 still...when he does the old stand still disdainful look thing someone should run up behind him and give his right ear a good flick....
Ombudsam Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 still...when he does the old stand still disdainful look thing someone should run up behind him and give his right ear a good flick.... from the club who brought us c***ona
Herbie von Smalls Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 what's with his lecturing opponents when he's fouled though? get over it thierry, it happens to others too.
stressederic Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 (edited) from the club who brought us c***ona Argh beat me to it. what's with his lecturing opponents when he's fouled though? get over it thierry, it happens to others too. You see him on MOTD with Cesc Fabregas? MOTD Journo: "So Cesc were you fouled in the buildup to Liverpool's goal?" Henry: *Mock-whispering* "Say yes." Cesc Fabregas: "Yes definitely." Made me laugh. Edited March 13, 2006 by stressederic
Spike Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I like Thierry, absolutely brilliant player and as Kev and others have said, he more than many others have the ability worthy of arrogance (hence my he's just a rich man's cisse comment). I get the feeling that he doesn't take all of that arrogant thing too seriously himself as well. That said, Carra needs to give him a good kick next time and show him who is boss

Not fecking hard to express joy when the situation warrants it. But at least Rafa doens't come across looking like an arrogant, smug c*** like Henry does when he scores.
Michael Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Well if you compare Henry's celebrations after scoring with the celebrations of our strikers....................ermmm, hang on.............anybody remember what ours do after scoring?
Ombudsam Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Well if you compare Henry's celebrations after scoring with the celebrations of our strikers....................ermmm, hang on.............anybody remember what ours do after scoring? yeah. Robbie runs off, stops, turns, looks at the assistant referee and lines up for the free kick
Mad_Fer_It Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 i was talking about him covering his nose as if something smelled... is he saying we're shi.t?
Ombudsam Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 he explained afterwards that he was saying he sniffed out the goal because he figured on what gerrard was gonna do. I'm not surprised he did, that's a decent link up they've got going those two.
