What an intriguing suggestion. We should look into it.

I suggest we do something like improving our away form or in general, being the most improved premiership team in the last 12 months. But, I dunno. What do we do? I give up.

Have a proper clear out.

Every year we're all on this forum saying "we'll see a big clear out in the summer" and it never happens.

People like Warnock should not be anywhere near a LFC shirt. We need to get rid.

Then, we need to pray Rafa gets a big budget from somewhere. We need a helluva lot of new players. Players that can go straight into the first team and improve it.

Making progress would be an interesting proposition. But it's exactly what everyone else will be expecting. I say we go backwards and take them all by surprise.

Looks like we've already begun with that plan!

We're past the stage of needing a clear out. Rafa's first two seasons were/will be for that. Infact given the size of the task he took over in June 2004 he has, IMO, done a bloody good job in improving not only the first team but also the squad. In the summer we need, and will buy, players who will go into the first team namely a striker and right midfielder and we'll all be merry again as we challenge chelsea for the league.

We need some playmakers in our team who can take a ball and make things happen. Over the past 5 or so years we have never had any width or creativity. Our play is so plodding and methodical compared to the likes of the @rse and Man Utd. We need pace and creativity in several positions, including the full backs. Apart from Gerrard's surges there is no pac in our team or play.

Left-back, 2 Right wingers (Cos knowing our luck the new lad would get injured), 3 strikers - one being a proper link player..

Crouch is an impact sub, nothing more.

We should have won 2 European Cups this year :P

Ballack to Chelsea means Guðjohnsen is probably on his way out. Although many of you hate him for diving in the semi finals last year he is a very clever player who can link very well between midfield and the attack, he is a good finisher and he scores a lot against Man Utd :D . I say to Rafa, go get Gudjohnsen !! We should not have to pay too much for him because Chelsea will be looking to sell and he will be looking to move out if Ballack comes in.

Hi guys! First post, so here goes.

I don't think we need that much really. If Parry can make a decent amount avaliable to Rafa - say £25 million (not too unrealistic) - then I think we coud be OK. That £25 million should be enough to secure Owen/Defoe and Kuyt/Yakubu, with Aurelio on a free, and a RW from player sales (I'm thinking Morientes, Cisse, Medjani, Warnock, Traore, Mellor and Le Tallec (possiby FSP too)). I think those players are 'saleable', and should bring in enough for a decent RW. Plus Cheyrou and Diao are, thank God, out of contract, so we'd save some cash there - I bet we are paying some of their ridiculous wages. Let's also not forget that Gonzalez and Palletta will be arriving too.

Of course, this all depends on Rafa getting the cash. But I don't think that £25 million is too unrealistic an amount for a club our size, especially as Parry will be under pressure to produce the cash. So it's not all doom and gloom. We are far better than we have been for the past 3 years, and with those 4 positions filled, Number 19 will be on the cards! YNWA
