To think, he hated Mancs and Kopites once and now he loves money and hates Kopites and Evertonians AND loves Mancs.

He's wacky is that fat cretin.

Just think if we could of grabbed him like the other ex Evertonians Rush, Fowler, and McManaman we could be still in Europe now.

He could have been an all time great for us! The lad is just magic! I can't believe we missed out on him.

Why does he hate us so much?

WTF? The Rooney fan club is just down the road pal, just follow the trail of sh*t that leads directly to him and his stinking club.

well he realised between selling his soul and playing for a schite club with no future. it was better to go to a club which can atleast win the Carling cup..

Oh of course, I mean having the "chance" to play in the Champions League with the club he "loved" is nothing compared to winning the Carling Cup.

Good thinking that Wayne.

Since no-one seems to have gone into detail, I'll try and answer it for you.

He did have a trial for the club (wearing his full Everton kit), but nothing really came of it and he had no interest in really signing for the club anyway. Supposedly. He was never going to come here, ever. So don't worry about it.

And he hates us because we're red and he's blue. Or was. And now plays for Highhorse FC, the ultimate in Liverpool hating.

Thanks for the decent reply.

Thats a shame.

Rooney, Stevie, Agger and Reina would be a cracking spine to the team for years to come.

The rest of you take off the blinkers, the lad is pure football gold.

OK mate, i'm open minded on this. I'll ask the question again, since Englands game against Argentina, when has he pulled out a magnificent performance ?

Wigan in the final doesn't count.

Im not sure, I think he's had a dip in form over the last couple of months. Probably due to the fact he's been carrying his team with no midfield, having to do a lot of hard work grafting back etc.

I think he's carried most of the season. If they didn't have him they would be totally f***ed.

So given your honest assessment that he's not been outstanding for months. Couldn't that be a tiny bit of evidence that he's not quite developing as people expected.

Very good player and yes of course he'd get in our side because we have no forwards doing the biz but that aside, is he the world class player that the media make out ?

I hate him but that's the most blinkered reply I've ever known.

Because he has a bit of bad form for a few months he's on the downward spiral? Piss off, he's a class footballer and will be one of the best in the world, maybe the best.

I never listen to the media. They just over hype players to knock them down. You have to look at his age, you can't expect him to be outstanding all season.

Along with van der Saar & van Nistelrooy he's also probably the best player of the team directly above us in the league. He's only what, 20 now? A dip in form is to be expected at some point

Its not even that he's on the downward spiral. He's never reached the heights that many claim as far as i'm concerned. My post might have warranted some of your hyperbole if i'd claimed he was anything short of a very good player. If you'd read what i'd posted then you'd see that i'm praising him, genuinely, but not dishing out ill fitting titles like 'best in the world' like evryone else.

He isn't as of yet but he's still an exceptional player and he would walk into any starting 11 in the world.

He has got pretty much everything, he's going to be the "complete" footballer.

Going a bit too far there I think pal! He could be rather than going to be!
