Guest AnfieldGrass Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 (edited) Let's t*** these London w*****s for one last time at the Library. SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Edited March 10, 2006 by AnfieldGrass
Guest AnfieldGrass Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 (edited) My preferred lineup for sunday: ReinaFinnan Carra Agger WarnockSG Alonso Hamman HarryFowler Crouch DudekMorientesCisseGarciaKromkamp Edited March 10, 2006 by AnfieldGrass
Logic Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 ReinaFinnan - Carragher - Agger - WarnockGerrard - Alonso - Hamann - KewellCisse - Fowler Subs: Dudek, Traore, Kronkamp, Garcia, Crouch. I think it would be better to use Cisse in this game rather than Crouch as Arsenal are likely to push up against us rather than sit back and Cisse having to show that he's "better" than Henry will probably get him motivated enough. If he doesn't deliver we can put Crouch in after 55-60 minutes.
Guest AnfieldGrass Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 How long is Riise out for? At least two more weeks apparently.
Guest Red Mist Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Whatever happens, I just hope Rafa doesn't start with any one of Traore, Garcia and Morientes.SG on the right with Xabi and Didi in the centre. Fowler and Crouch up front.
urban Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 How about? Reina Finnan, Carra, Agger, Warnock Garcia, Alonso, Gerrard, Kewell Cisse, Fowler
Bailo Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 (edited) For me, the possibilities are: Reina Finnan-----Carra----Agger-----Traore Gerrard----Didi-----Xabi-------Harry -----------------Garcia------------------------------Crouchy---------------------- Assuming Sami is still unfit and I prefer Traore to Warnock. dodgy1 Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Reina Finnan....CArragher...Agger...Warnock Gerrard....Alonso....Hamann...Kewell Crouch..Fowler Sibs: Dudek..Traore...Garcia..Morientes...Cisse I,ll go with that one.
sbaros Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 As long as Traore isn't playing CB I'm a happy camper... Any early team news?
Earl Hafler Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Reina, Finnan, Carra, Agger, Warnock, Gerrard, Didi, Xabi, Kewell, Crouch and Cisse is how i'd go but i think Rafa will have one or two players different. Main concern apart from lack of goals is the leftside of defence. All season the back four of Finnan, Carra, Sami and Riise have been almost faultless in pushing up together and playing the offside. We've conceded goals when someone else has played at left back and failed to push up with the other 3. Against Benfica there were a few problems because of the changes made and there'll probably be a few more problems today. Agger played well enough last time but was caught out on a couple of occasions when out of sync with the other defenders. I'd be happy with a point, more so if the Mancs lose in the earlier kick-off.
Romario Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Do we know for sure if Sami is out? As for left back. Bloody hell it's a toss up really between Troare and Warnock.
crisps Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 (edited) Reina Finnan....Carragher...Agger...Warnock Kromkamp/Anderson....Alonso....Gerrard...Kewell Cisse..Fowler Edited March 12, 2006 by mikeyj
Swipe Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Another masterclass in uselessness from Garcia. He plays like a naive 18 yeard old. Rubbish. And Warnock is way out of his depth. And whats the point in playing with one up front - when that striker is slow as a turtle and weak as piss? Roll on next year when Crouch spends most games on the bench (touch wood)
Ronnie Whelan Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 what we could do with a 23 goal striker? well yeah...i was hoping there might be more to it Good man mike, always good for a laugh.
Guest Cardie Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 See now at the beginning of the season everyone was saying we didn't need a striker who scores and that the goals would come from midfield.
Guest RedLegend Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Our current form makes me want to smoke crack.
Clay Davis Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 And whats the point in playing with one up front - when that striker is slow as a turtle and weak as piss? a turtle?
Jim D Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Warnock and Garcia have been totally gash.....final ball letting us down again and why wasn't Toure sent off for his two footed lunge?
John am Rhein Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 kewell fowler morientes and traore so thats kewell on for garcia at half time Yeah, makes sense. I'd like to see Gerrard moved back a little so he can get in the thick of it more - assuming he's willing to.
McBain Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 How Garcia made the team over Kewell i've no idea, especially as we went in with one upfront. But a mistake can always be rectified, provided Garcia is taken off. And driven to the airport Crouch has been utter dross as usual but in this instance there's nobody on the bench i'd replace him with. And the fact he's the best striking option we have makes me want to bash my head against the wall and howl like a lunatic
Mike Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 rafa has to have a word with himself putting those two together.jeez just seen crouchs miss again...a new low.
Bailo Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 It's so weird on here. The Arsenal boards are more positive about us then we are. 1-0 to a team massively in form, could have been more through no real fault of our players, they're passing up front is a (painful) joy to watch. However, we've had chances, their defence is shaky and I really feel an early goal in the 2nd half would make it very interesting.
