Scally Bob Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I've always had a ticket and nobody's checked if I'm a raving idiot with a weak bladder and an eating disorder. Does anyone else get asked? Every CL game is the same. I always get my ST seat but around me are muppets. Moan, moan, moan. Ringing their mates all through the match. Arriving late and leaving early. Up and down to the bog or for food every five minutes. Clowns. Last night topped it all though. There were about 20 lads from Belfast. They had-I kid you not-Liverpool scarves half and half with Red Hand of Ulster scarves. WTF? I'd love to know the thought process that arrives at that conclusion. They were absolute cavemen. Wouldn't sit down (a bloke with his kid was getting annoyed with one of them) and did nothing but slag the entire team off. Two lads who are STH's were in their normal seats got a bit heated with them, it nearly went off. Plod and stewards nowhere. Some only arrived at half-time and they all left as soon as Benfica scored the second. Their behaviour was an absolute disgrace. Why does the Club waste tickets on the likes of these morons?
Guest Kev Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Because they're not local and will spend money in the club shop, or that's what they do more often than not. Ofcourse there are fans from outside Liverpool that don't set foot in the shop, and if the club found that out they would never get another ticket in their lives.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Is it true that the club tells the ticket office to process mail orders with postcodes outside of the Liverpool area first?
Scally Bob Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 Is it true that the club tells the ticket office to process mail orders with postcodes outside of the Liverpool area first? This shower must have been from some supporters club or something.
SkippyjonJones Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Because they're not local and will spend money in the club shop, ?We don?t have OOT fans, but if we did they?d probably be the best spenders in the club shop!? See my ?it?s a brand? post from a couple of days ago. Also there isn?t really any guarantee that they will spend more money ? it is likely but not guaranteed.
Guest Kev Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Is it true that the club tells the ticket office to process mail orders with postcodes outside of the Liverpool area first? Liverpool postcodes have been filed at the back of applications. I've been told by two ex-ticket office employees. No doubt it still goes on. What the club doesn't seem capable of taking onboard is that the locals do shop in FiverWorld, but we do it during the week when it's less crowded. ?We don?t have OOT fans, but if we did they?d probably be the best spenders in the club shop!? See my ?it?s a brand? post from a couple of days ago. Also there isn?t really any guarantee that they will spend more money ? it is likely but not guaranteed. Yep I saw that post Mike, possibly your best ever.
Scally Bob Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 Scally, where do you sit btw? You're not one of the Norn Iron crowd are you?
Guest Jack Bauer Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Na, there was just someone on radio city saying how he was proud of being a Liverpool fan tonight, but there were a bunch of Irish supporters behind him who were a disgrace.
Scally Bob Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 I'm in the Kemlyn, Kop end just outside the penalty area. On another site someone said there was a phone complainer on Century about them.
badtodabone Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Because they're not local im not local (yet) and i would never behave like that
Maldini Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 (edited) F'ckin Irish Reds... Edited March 9, 2006 by Maldini
allez les rouges Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I'm in the Kemlyn, Kop end just outside the penalty area. On another site someone said there was a phone complainer on Century about them. the lad who was getting heated with them was with my mate. was he wearing glasses? my mate says that he told them to shut up, but all that the irish guy would say is "specky four eyes, specky four eyes". all the irish got taken out the ground didnt they? do you know why all of them did?
Scally Bob Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 the lad who was getting heated with them was with my mate. was he wearing glasses? my mate says that he told them to shut up, but all that the irish guy would say is "specky four eyes, specky four eyes". all the irish got taken out the ground didnt they? do you know why all of them did? That was him. He was going mad at them-too right. Did they gat taken out? The stweards never came into the seats but they did all leave at the same time.
allez les rouges Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 That was him. He was going mad at them-too right. Did they gat taken out? The stweards never came into the seats but they did all leave at the same time. yeah, it was the stewards who came and told them all to go. My mate says that his mate said fooking irish so and so, next thing he was sorounded by a load of them. my wife and 5 year old had a similare experience with pissed up irish fans in the anny road at the charlton match. they all seem to turn up bladdered. Fortunately that incident never got out of hand.
Maldini Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 my wife and 5 year old had a similare experience with pissed up irish fans in the anny road at the charlton match. they all seem to turn up bladdered. Are you serious? If so, then f*ck off with your racist sh*te.
allez les rouges Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Are you serious? If so, then f*ck off with your racist sh*te. and another point, my grandfather is irish, so i have part irish blood in me. it is a fact that the irish fans i am talking about turned up p1ssed! thats not racist. For your information this is the definition of a racist "The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others. Discrimination or prejudice based on race. " how on earth can what i said fall in to that category?? before you start accusing me of something as serious as being a racist, (which of course is breaking the law), then you should have very strong information that i am. if you dont, then dont start throwing around very serious allegations such as this one.
Mondavi Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 they all seem to turn up bladdered. I think this generalisation, based on 2 stated incidents, is what riled Maldini. TBH I think it would rile any Irishman, as clearly not ALL IRISH people turn up to the game's bladdered. Only the other week there was an Irish family sat in front of me on the Anny Rd end. Mum,Dad and kids were well behaved and in my opinion probably hadn't touched a drop. The fact the group of fans mentioned in your post were Irish is irrelevant, as that kind of behaviour is commonly seen from people of all nationalities. A few weeks ago it was "The Germans" apparently.

A few weeks ago it was "The Germans" apparently. "they all seem to turn up bladdered" I see you point. my reference to "all" meant the irish fans who caused the two incidents i was talking about. there were 5 during the charlton game that my wife was at, and there was a large group on wednesday. My reference to "All" meant all those referred to on wednesday and against charlton. To be honest, for the life of me i thought it was obvious that i was referring to the two groups and not all irish fans in general, as suggesting something else is complete nonsense. And as i have mentioned my extended family are all Irish. Although i can now see how the sentence could be misinterpreted. SO i am happy to clear up any confusion. However even if i had meant "all" meaning every irish fan, (which i dont) then it still would not have been a racist remark.
Knoxy Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Don't know about moron, you seem to have to be willing to sing though European nights are fantastic

Scally - if they were that bad make an official complaint. And dont get your ST seat next time
Guest roger Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 A big bunch like that would probably not have utilized the late availability line so probably qualified by having sufficient credits. Every game is full of the pie purchasing patrons who seem to give the impression that the match is secondary to fiddling around under the stand whilst the ball is still being kicked about!
filopastry Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I had the joy to be near someone who apparently thinks that they're supporting a Spanish club judging by the monkey noises and other comments coming from their direction
Scally Bob Posted March 11, 2006 Author Posted March 11, 2006 For the record, not all the Irish idiots near me against Benfica were bladdered although some of them were. Some were just ill-behaved sober morons who happened to be from Northern Ireland.
Joshytoohotty Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Because they're not local and will spend money in the club shop, or that's what they do more often than not. Ofcourse there are fans from outside Liverpool that don't set foot in the shop, and if the club found that out they would never get another ticket in their lives. I'd best start going in the shop more regularly in that case! Been in their once in the past 2 or 3 years and that was only cos a lad of the supporters club wanted a replica 84 cup final top. Absolute s**** in their mostly although there's one or two good things, for example I love the pictures of various moments in our Euro cup run last season, I'll have to buy them and get them framed when I get round to it. I prefer to go the one in town anyway, less hassle with queues etc.
