Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea with a good nucleus of the England squad all knocked out of the CL already. The @rse didn't have one English player in their team are the only ones to progress. With the likes of probable starters Terry, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney, Ferdinand, Carragher and Cole unable to progress to the Quater finals is this a pre-cursor of things to come in the WC or a chance for them to get some rest.

Nah, with the exception of Ferdinand, the English players played OK across the games, it was tosspots like Morientes and Garcia who should be worried.

 

I'm putting a tenner on Spain getting knocked out at the group stages if your theory is true fella..!!
