In our last 10 games we've only scored 5 goals

.... that's a scoring percentage of 3%... if we look at the percentage of shots on target it's only 7% :(

In average we hit the target more than twice as many times as our opposition but only score half as many goals..... it's unbelievable because we dominate heavily and in average over the last ten games we've had the ball 58% of the time

Thanks, that's cheered me up immensely.

No rafa wants to shoot the strikers.

Those possession stats are unreal though, we're dominating almost every game. If we can keep our confidence and add that killer edge up front we'll be pretty formidable.

there's f*ck all we can do til summer is the annoying thing. Luckily we're in the quarters of the cup. It's great having that to play for.

Once they scored the heart went from our lads, I knew when Simao scored that we weren't going to get back in it.

That Luisao was brilliant again though wasn't he, how the f*ck is Roque Junior in the Brazilian team ahead of him?

Most galling out of all of those are the Charlton and Birmingham matches at home.

45 shots. 20 on target. Average of 66.5% possession. One goal.

I agree with the possession stat, but the shots on goal stat would include Crouch and Moro passing the ball to their keeper, and any long ball that is directed towards the goal. It doesn't measure the genuine chances created, of which we have had virtually none.

We created all our chances in the first 35mins yesterday. After that we tested their keeper once when stevie just knocked it wide in the 2nd half.

Too many f***ing long balls.

Not so - Xabi had a very good shot tipped over in the second half, Stevie whipped in a cross that Crouch narrowly missed, and Fowler had yet another perfectly good goal ruled out.

where's me straight razor and hanging rope?

this post is very depressing, funny in parts, but depressing overall.

'Thats shocking, Our forwards should be shot...but then again there is only a 3% chance we would hit them..." funniest thing I have read since Scally Bob's Belfast scarf story.

talking of Folwer's disallowed goal last week when Cusse was ruled offside. Juventus' 2nd goal was allowed even though they had 2 or 3 players in offside positions leaving the box assuming the keeper still had the ball. once it was dropped, surely they were offside? It was also an English crew headed by Poll.

Is that a chance though? Had crouch got a touch on it, do you really think he would have scored. Leave that stuff to Ell Morow.

If we had decent strikers who were converting a quarter of the shots on target we've had (which is what our opponents have managed against us), we'd have scored 17 goals instead of 5.

It's noticable that our shots on target percentage compared to total shots is also lower than our opponents as well.

If we were 'as accurate' and 'as reliable' as our last ten opponents, we'd have scored 20 in the last 10 games, not 5.
