Why was Simao booed in the first half?

It seemed a little sad to see that he was booed in the first half (this died away as the night went on). Why do you think this happened?

Some do, some don't. Bowyer for example never has a good game at Anfield and he is always boo-ed. I don't mind it if they deserve it.

No as someone said earlier, during the first half the whole Benfica team were getting boo-ed when they had the ball.

It was all of their players who were getting booed any time they got the ball. Worked very effectively last season particularly against Juve. Nothing sad about it at all, just the crowd helping out the team. Not quite as effective this time because it was a bit half-hearted. I got the impression last night that we didn't really believe we could get back in it after they scored, probably due to our lack of prowess in front of goal..
