Stevie H Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 i can't ever recall seeing a centre-back, as the last man and being closed down, try a comedy overhead kick to clear the ball. someone behead djimi traore and put the silly f***** out of his misery.
Mike Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 the fall last night.it was so painfully predictable.but we know what to expect. you can't hope for miracles, he is what he is.

To be fair, he got rid of the ball, that was the most important thing, not how he did it.
Guest Sabre Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 To be fair, he got rid of the ball, that was the most important thing, not how he did it. And the chances of his overhead kick being fecked up? Seriously, quite high.
Frosty Jack Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 To be fair, he got rid of the ball, that was the most important thing, not how he did it. But in the context of the rest of his game, falling on his a*** unchallenged led to the first goal as I remember. He just should not play for us again, if only we kept Frode Kippe instead.........
Chili Palmer Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Right from the start he looked nervous, and putting him and Warnock together on the left hand side was always going to cause a few heart stopping moments. I miss Sami...
Boca Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 To think Blackburn were willing to pay a small fortune for him a couple of seasons back. We would be lucky to get a fee for him now.
Andy @ Allerton Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I actually thought Trajore didn't have too bad a game - and I never thought I'd ever say that Saying that Carragher made a howler for the first goal - what WAS he playing at? And he nearly did it again in the second half.
Chili Palmer Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 To think Blackburn were willing to pay a small fortune for him a couple of seasons back. We would be lucky to get a fee for him now. He is the type of player that will probably come good at another club.

He is the type of player that will probably come good at another club. no he isn't. he can't play football.
Huyton_Red Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I am amazed you have chosen to attack traore, I really am What the f'ck was carragher playing at when he tryed a cruyf turn, fell over the ball and that resulted in Benfica's first goal, at least Troare managed to get the ball clear with his overhead kick What about carraghers miss from three yards in the first half, what about his headed miss from six yards in the second half Carragher had his worst game for years last night and here is a thread attacking the kid next to him. Carraghers mistake is what knocked the stuffing out of the team and eventually led to us being knocked out. not traore's A bit of balance eh

Barnes' left foot Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 He was rubbish last night. I've never seen a defender with his height and size get pushed off the ball so easily. Please get rid, Rafa.
Chili Palmer Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 no he isn't. he can't play football. I think he could be the type that if playing for a team who are 'under the cosh' more so than Liverpool are then he would do quite well, its because we are usually attacking and the defence needs to keep its concentration so when they are called on they react well, Djimi can't concentrate. A bit like Kirkland, good when under pressure, useless when called on to make 2 saves per game.
bazz Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 (edited) We all think Traore is a nightmare and is always prone to mistakes.....I just wonder are we the same people that said nothing when "In Rafa we trust" actually gave him a new 5 year deal? Just wondering like Edited March 9, 2006 by bazz

Bailo Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 If Traore was a 2/10 last night, Carra was barely a 3/10.
Chili Palmer Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 you mean like against chelsea when he tried to hack drogba in half in the penalty area for no apparent reason? I have no problem with anyone kicking Drogba...
Raj Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 not really sure what the point of isolating traore for his failings is gonna do.we all know his limitations and if hyppia and riise had been fit, he wouldnt have even been on the pitch the defence as a whole was shambolic at times last night.

And Carragher had a big part in their first goal.

I haven't seen the match so I'm not really in a position to defend Djimi, put the poor b*****d can't win can he. If he makes a mistake it's typical and if Carragher makes one it's because Djimi unnerved him. While we're at it: I'm sure Crouch and Garcia only missed because Djimi put them off...

slapnuts Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Yes going out to Benfica last night was all Traore's fault. He played cos we had no one else so f*ck if he did the over head kick he got away with it. Is this 606?
Guest Anders Honoré Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 That's European Champion Dkimi Traore to you.
