Fair play mate. Plenty of reds struggled to hide the laughter when you were knocked out of the European Cup pre-qualifier and then UEFA Cup at the first hurdle.

 

But surely even the most one-eyed Everton fan would be dancing for joy if you reached the last 16 of the CL (poor for us!) and were third in the league. For us there is a certain flatness about it all right now as it's not enough. For EFC it would be a banquet.

 

Therein lies the difference.
