It's been a long and hard season for all our lads...

Guess they need to rest and restart...

Let's focus on winning the FA Cup now which we surely can, have a good run in the league and try to finish 2nd for the automatic champions league place..

 

Priorities

1. World Class striker (funded by sales of Morientes and Cisse)

2. RM (Maybe SWP)

3. Quality LB

4. Review status of each of our squad players for the future, we desperately need players who can change a game...

this situation with our strikers, I really am embarassed as a football fan by our front players.

 

Crouch, well, in a quality team should be 3rd or 4th choice striker, simple as. He's tall can cause a few problems and is good to throw on in desperation in the last 20 mins.

 

Morientes, is f***** apalling. No touch, no pace, not clinical. He might have been once, but since he's been at Anfield he's not.

 

And the most annoying part of it all is that Rafa keeps f***** playing them - TOGETHER!!!! I love Rafa but he's really f****d up recently with our strikers. Whatever grudge he or anyone has got against Cisse has to be put to bed till the summer. He might whinge or moan and he can be erratic, but he is BY FAR the most threatening of ours strikers. But he hasn't played him up front for so long I really can't remember when it was.

 

Ranting aside ( ), talking actual tactics, when Crouch and Moro play together, I dread one of our midfielders playing a through ball because they are so lacking in pace its untrue. So therefore they have to have it in a plate perfectly. Even when they do they often miss anyway.

 

As I say I love Rafa for what he's done but he's showing a stubborn side that is worrying the f**k out of me. People can say what they like about giving Rafa money to spend in the summer, but at the end of the day he forked out about 14-15 million on those two.

 

To make matters worse I've got no mark f*****g Everton fans in work laughing at our striking partnership and the best of it is our lot make Beattie look like Ronaldo.

We're all disappointed.

 

Before the game most fans would have said Cisse and Mori will be sold/moved on in the summer. That's still teh case. Crouch will remain a Liverpool player. If we have the funds there should be two strikers brought in who are both ahead of Crouch and can form a new partnership. Crouch to be used in away games and as an option off the bench for me, but he still has an Anfield future.

Weve just resorted to long balls to Crouch from defence and long hopeful crosses from the wings.

Crouch will stay, IMO Flo Po should too, let's see Fowlers form to see if his contract is extended, we could use a World class striker, and another one should flo or fowler leave the club.

 

IMO we could raise our fair share of dough from sales... morientes couple of mill Cisse from 5-8, if we sell Le Tallec or Flo, Zenden?, Traore?, we should have at least 10m from the sale of our players (hope so)...

Seriously, does anyone on NOT think that Cisse should be a regular starter up front. Because of he doesn't, quite simply its 2 from Crouch, Moro and Robbie. no pace there whatsover.

 

This is not knee jerk becuase of tonight, its been coming for ages. Our goal scoring record, not just over the last 3 or 4 games, but over the last 6 months is f*****g shocking.

totally missing the point. I'm not having a go at Moro for having a shocking performance tonight (though he did). But in general, those two together offer us ***k all in terms of pace, cutting edge, directness blah blah blah. At least Cisse looks like doing something when he plays up front.

 

As I say, the worrying thing about all this is that I think Rafa genuinely believes Crouch and Moro are better than Crouch and Cisse or Moro and Cisse. If he has a grudge against Cisse, why does he play him on the right!!!!!
