I hate that thing that he does when hes been tackled... he sits up withh is legs out in front of him and pretends to tie his laces whilst staring at the ref... every f***ing time..

he has been the same for ireland too but was back to his best in the green last week against Sweden. He's stifled by Chelsea's tactics

He can still do it in patches for Chelsea but his form is down.

 

What infuriates me is his Chelsea-esque ywllow card waving mime when he deems fit. Would kick it out of him.

 

Tonights performance was nothing like as good as his performance last year there.

He's half the player he was at Blackburn....

 

He actually had a great game for Ireland v Sweden last week even if it was only a friendly.

 

Hasn't played much recently though after coming back from injury. Hasn't played much this season in general actually. Hard to look your best at the top level in those circumstances. Definitely not as sharp as he could be though.

He has always been way over-rated. SWP is a much better player than Duff and it was a traversty that he didn't get a start again.

 

Now that I definitely don't agree with. Duff isn't in good form but he's a class above that midget.

He's still the best LW in the game (Ronaldinho isn't a winger) he's stifled by Chelsea's tactics though, did you know he had the best possession retention statistics in the league last season? Over 80% of his passes went to a teammate. That may seem good on first inspection, but in reality it was because he was cutting back inside and passing it to the midfield instead of taking a risk and taking on players.

 

He really doesn't fit in at Chelsea, while he has seemingly become a bit more of a bitter b*****d while there he still seems a decent enough lad.

When i said he was overrated about 4 months ago you tore a strip into me but what he showed tonight is how he's been playing for a year but he was still rated world class. That's why i said he was overrated. I never said he was schit. I was one of the few non-irsh who really rated him and was up for paying loads for him.

Joe Cole's stock has gone up whilst Duff's has gone down. I think it basically boils down to not getting enough games. Robben, Cole, and Duff have all looked dodgy at times but when they have been given a run of games they turned the form back on. The problem is 3 into 2 won't fit. If Duff isn't getting the games then I'm sure he will get pissed off.

Robben was appalling up until about Christmas time. Cole's not really a winger either.

yes but he's playing well now. and all the more reason to applaud cole cos he has to play wide. I think duff's poor year has been largely down to him

He was pretty good before christmas, not at his best but not as poor as now. I think he's just getting pissed off with their rigid style of play. He doesn't look happy when he's playing anymore.
