The Hitman Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 He's one of the classiest and most likeable blokes in football. I've met him a couple of times, and he did a talk at my old school not too long ago,he's clearly a top bloke.

Earl Hafler Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 His post match comments after the game on Saturday were odd, i thought. Fairly honest but slightly surreal.
marvinbarcelona Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 (edited) Can't understand his sacking. Sunderland are going down, sacking him down is going to make no difference, they're not going to get anyone else in before the end of the season.....makes no sense. It does and it doesn't....at least getting rid of now gives the Board time to find a replacement for next season.
Eskimo Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 McLeish I'm sure he could do better even if he stayed north of the border...
growler Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Actually makes perfect sense. Now they are gone, getting a manager and saying you can plan for next season from now, get players lined up, players will be playing for their positions etc, and then next season can start straight away.
