Just been reading a topic on RAOTL about people taking their birds to the game and it got me thinking. I had a big 'discussion' with my missus last night about this very subject, to be honest there there is more chance of me putting gel in my hair than her coming the match with me. No way thats happening

Do any of you take your birds ? There aint a chance for me, sorry, its amescape, its the you go to see the lads and get away from normal life for a few hours. And as for the away games, jesus, imagine if she wanted to start coming to them as well, it would f'ck your y life right up, all the lads would disown me you and you would become a wimp who holds his birds hand in public

Mine goes to 30 plus games a season

I have cricket for time with the lads so it suits me.

I've been taking my bird to the odd game ever since I realised my mates were mostly gay/useless in nights out

her last two games were Arsenal home and Betis away

It is becoming more common, you see loads of couples at the game now

In my opinion thats wrong, that is what cinema's are for

But each to their own I guess.

she got a taste for it, what with her last game before that one being the CL final

like I say, It's as much to do with my local mates being gay as anything

Not being an ornithologist, I take my wife sometimes - but mostly my daughter. My wife has only missed two games since Fowler's return.

I take mine all the time just in case of trouble. She's the UK heavyweight champion of the world with arms like Arnie's.

Mine had a "winning record" for 5 years until this year's chelsea home game.

she's not coming again :hmm:

hmmm, clearly this is a case of one or probably more guys bringing their birds who have losing records. Lads I dont care if it's love, they make us lose.... i'll find you!!

oh , make sure to bring yer winning bird to the benfica game. If you can clone her that'd be great, thanks

Took mine to the 'boro game at Anfield a few seasons back. Amazingly, she got bored of the goal-less dirge in front of us and decided to take a shine to boro's Christian Karembeu. She booed whenever he got tackled, and cheered him each time he got the ball. We we're in the moan stand, and I feared a kicking, not for my missus' treachery, but for waking anyone up. Still, Never. Again.

my missus has been to three games

1. 0-0 draw v Southampton...She stood on the old standing Kop..she is 5 ft therefore saw nothing!!

2. Home match v Appolon Limassol Where I think Paul Stewart scored a hat trick she may have been his lucky charm!!

3. Freindly away at Shelbourne...She asked me to take her abroard for a weekend for her 21st birthday...Dublin is abroard...not my fault it coinciced with the reds playing is it

Taking my missus to the Fulham game next week (thanks to "You Know Who" on this board.) :)

We met early last year, and she watched the Champs League run in with me from Olympiakos onwards. She's me lucky charm now, and I'm convinced she helped us win it..! :) I will admit that i was completely despondant at half time in the final. But she said "we can still score 3". I was thinking "that's such a girly thing to say".....

....the rest, as they say, is history...

Two games I think I've took the missus.

Steve Staunton's hat-trick against Wigan and a 2-2 draw at Newcastle United.

i was watching a live Sunday game the other week and you could see uriah Rennie warming up and my missus asked who he played for

my wife and I had season tickets for the Kop for years, she went to every home game and alot of the away games.

when she was at Keele University, we went to almost every game.

after Hillsborough, she never went to another game.

she loved to go to the match but would never watch a game on TV, and still does not like to watch sports on TV.

over here, we have season tickets to college hockey and have just bought season tickets for Nebraska college baseball. you should see her at the hockey games, screaming for blood when the fights get going. scary.

My ex once asked why he was allowed to wear tracksuit bottoms. He wasn't.
