Mad_Fer_It Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Scored a great diving header a few minutes ago...
Mad_Fer_It Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 didnt see it, started watching the match at halftime, with the first half highlights...
Guest Kev Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 (edited) didnt see it, started watching the match at halftime, with the first half highlights... About a yard out, totally missed the ball. He is playing very well though. The only reason why he went on loan is because he's the lowest paid forward that was still at the club. Edited March 5, 2006 by Kev

Guest Cardie Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 why would his low pay be a reason to send him out on loan? Easier for a club to take on his wages. Blackburn wouldn't be able to affor the 30k plus we pay the rest
Mad_Fer_It Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 so another team could loan him paying his wages??? i love the lad GREAT ASSIST JUST NOW!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! he just beat ledley king to the ball, passed the ball to bellamy.... great technical ability....
Guest Kev Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 He just made a plonker out of King and laid on the equaliser for Bellamy.
Guest Sabre Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 How long before someone says that it was stupid to loan him out because he might help Blackburn beat us to a CL spot?
Guest Kev Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Easier for a club to take on his wages. Blackburn wouldn't be able to affor the 30k plus we pay the rest Spot on, look at the forwards we had. Cisse = too much wages.Nando = too much wages and to loan him out would be seen as a failure on Rafa's part.Crouch = Only just signed, there was no way it would be him.Sinama = Fourth choice, low wages. bye bye.
Guest Cardie Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 How long before someone says that it was stupid to loan him out because he might help Blackburn beat us to a CL spot? Happily say it was stupid to loan him out (said so at the time) wouldn't go that far though.
Mad_Fer_It Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 id say hes getting some much needed playing time... we could use him at the mo.. but this is for his own good....
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 better to loan him, him to get games, impress & come back a 1st team player than not to & then let him go
Guest westang Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 he looks like he will come back a better player with more prem games under his belt; on the other le tallec isn't doing so good
Guest Jack Bauer Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Good goal, shame that we didn't send Morientes there instead.
Mike Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 can't belive we kept cisse and loaned pongolle, personally.
Bjarkinn Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Sinama and le tallec missed a sitter today.. What up with our forwards:O but excellent goal by sinama anyway
Dule Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Sinama will come back a better player after this loan period, that is for certain.
Snoeker Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 If only Crouch could've nailed that diving header from the teasing Cisse center
Leo No.8 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 (edited) Pongolle is definitely benefitting from a run of games - he looked superb yesterday, very lively. FSP will come back a better player without a doubt, although personally I'd have preferred him to be getting his games with us. The lad has a great touch, unlike a certain forward we kept hold of whom I would have loaned out and continued to pay half his wages as a sweetener, just to get him out of the way. But lets get one thing straight - Rafa has decided to let Pongolle go out on loan instead of the others as a football decision, either because he's rather have kept Cisse or there were no takers. What people are saying above about wages doesn't make sense; after all if it was Cisse we wanted to loan out, couldn't we just whoever wanted him to pay the same as Blackburn are for Pongolle, and we'd pay the rest? It adds up to us saving the same amount of money and them paying the same amount of money doesn't it? I think it's possible that no-one wanted Cisse. I reckon we'll be lucky to get £5m for him when he goes. But he the boss was favouring Cisse anyway when he had both players at his disposal. Edited March 6, 2006 by Leo No.8
Guest Sabre Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 If only Crouch could've nailed that diving header from the teasing Cisse center It wasn't even a diving header. He just fecked up a simple header.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I think it's possible that no-one wanted Cisse. I reckon we'll be lucky to get £5m for him when he goes. But he the boss was favouring Cisse anyway when he had both players at his disposal. Come on, Leo. Surely you must know your view of Cisse as a footballer is far too radical to be normative.
Earl Hafler Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I reckon £7-8m in the summer, Leo. One positive about his performance on Saturday is that he took up a few good positions and had some chances on what was a rare start. This could bode well for the Benfica match as i think he might start that game aswell. The other forwards have been given ample time to hit form but it's not happening. Maybe Cisse will now get his chance.
Snoeker Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 It wasn't even a diving header. He just fecked up a simple header. Much as it pains me to say this but it was a diving header for him.
Guest Sabre Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Much as it pains me to say this but it was a diving header for him. For Crouch?! He ran onto it and buggered it.
