Before a big Reds match, as a superstition, I always pre-play it on FIFA 2006 on the PS2.

Admittedly, I hammered Benfica 7-0, but that said, Morientes scored 2 and Kewell beat a wing back twice..! Can't be that reliable eh..?

Anyone else do anything religiously before each match as a superstition..??

My son's got lucky pyjamas

There is a red kitted player in a number 10 shirt on the top and three goals are scored.

During the European Cup campaign, he wore them for every match except the final, as they'd been in the wash. At half time my missus brought out the top from the drier to "encourage" the team. The rest is history. And Benitez gets all the credit ;)

im terrible for them, for european nights i have to watch one of liverpool great managsrs dvds the night before (mainly Paisley)

at half time i HAVE to drink out of a Xabi Alonso mug, and have 3 biscuits (foxes chocolate viennese :D, and yes, thats even if im drinking beer )

i also have to have my jersey on, an if we`re not winning at half time, i put on the Carnage cisse t-shirt from this very site

oh, and i never go to the pub, thats even worse then breaking a mirror with a f***ing magpie

Same thing for me in the Ataturk. Had on my 60's home shirt with Carnage underneath. Took the retro one off at half time.

same thing but on a good game, Pro 5.

So Pro 5 is worth getting then..? Does it have the right kits and team names etc..? I seem to remember Pro 4 had Merseyside Reds playing in a kit something akin to that of a cheap set from JJB sports..!

last season I listened to Revolver before each European game from Olympiakos on.

I also listened to it before the Benfica away leg.

It's a 2004/05 thing, obviously.

i dont have set superstitions apart from if I wear a piece of clothing and we win i tend to try and wear it again at the next match

for example....I swapped a Barca shirt at the 1st leg of the semi in 2001.....Wore it for the home leg and so I wore it for most of the run in and the FA Cup Final plus the Charlton game

I got a red scarf for xmas...an unusual Liverpool one...it currently has a 100% record...I didnt wear it for Brum or Charlton.....

Note to self: wear scarf on Weds night

Paul Caruso never goes to a match with a loaded weapon!

That's more of a compulsion than a superstition.

Got my haircut before every match in the UEFA run until the final.

I know.

More than little unusual for me.

The barber must have been furious at the amount of "trims" you had, wishing you would get it cut properly.

Superstitions, my missus, if she is at the game, has to ring her dad at half time. We win every game she has done that and lost 3 that she hasnt.

Me dad had a set routine throughout the 70's and 80's for away games and we hardly ever lost due to that. Not the fact we were ace.

I have to pat a police horse before the game

I explained it to him so he gave me a discount and beer.
