Robbie Fowler may not yet have proved the answer to Liverpool's scoring problems but he has done enough in his first month back at Anfield to impress Rafael Benítez, who hinted yesterday that the striker's second spell at the club might be extended beyond the end of the season.

Fowler has not scored since moving from Manchester City in January but his manager said: "I am happy with him. Maybe he doesn't have the pace of others but he can get there ahead of others because of his intelligence and his ability to see things early. It's not something we need to decide now. The facts so far have been really positive and that is important for him and for his future."

Romario?

I was so disappointed for him when he had that goal ruled offside yesterday. Obviously I was pretty annoyed that it was ruled out, but particularly for him.

I really liked his run and shot from 25 yards which went just wide. Reminiscent of his early days.

Problem was, Robbie was not offside.
