we're gonna need them against Benfica. In 14 games since New Year, we've scored more than 1, 3 times - 2-2 Bolton, 5-3 Luton & 2-1 Pompey (one of which was a dubious pen). In those games, Crouch, Moro & Cisse (and Fowler) have aggregated 1 goal....we need two...

Yeah, I'm really doubting whether we can pull this off. I just hope we can find the goals from somewhere - just look to Roma at home when we beat them 2-0. We weren't scoring that much in that period, and we dug out 2 goals and that was enough.

 

We really need a strong first 20 minutes to give us the platform because if we don't, we'll just make it even more harder job for ourselves.

Worried too. Everyone just seems to think we'll pull another easy European win out of the bag 2 or 3 nil. If they score we're up s*** creek and need another seriously massive performanc a la Olyimpiacos. I'll be in 202 like i was for Chavski doing my bit, we need to create a huge amount too to help us get back to scoring ways. If it's anything like the last 2 games (which i know it won't be) we may as well not turn up.

I hate to be a drama queen about it, but I seriously believe it all rests on his shoulders. We must get 2 goals in the first half if we hope to avoid a second half of frustration due to Benfica diving 45 minutes off the clock as they did against United.
