Was Fowler offside ?

Fowler was not offside.

Cisse was the player closest to being offside, but I think an overeager linesman bottled it.

I thought Cisse was level with their left back.

It sucks.

Like most have said, Fowler wasn't offside (Cisse was).. but according to the current offside rules the goal should have counted.

It's an interfering with play issue. It was Cisse, not Fowler. Unfortunately, our brain-dead 14 million man cost us.

Have watched it a few times, and seen the stil when the ball was played.

 

Fowler was onside. Full stop. at least a yard.

 

Cisse was inline. And did not "interfere" wtih play. The ball was not played towards him, touched by him, farted at by him, nor did he drag a marker towards him. And he was ONSIDE.

 

Major linesman f***up.

 

However. at first glance. it looked offside. But I was 5 pints in and watching aTV screen, not being paid to f***ing look.

Haven't seen MotD yet. But the look on Robbie's face as he ran to the corner was brilliant, but after a few seconds you could see him waiting to be jumped on by the players, when that never happened he couldn't believe it. Some players know when they are offside or not, Robbie looked like he knew he wasn't.

Fowler wasn't offside but Cisse was. And at the end of the day if your in the middle of the goal within the 18 yard box you are in an active positon. No ifs buts or maybe's It was the right decision & if it was aginast us we would be saying the same.

 

Wasn't the only time Cisse was stupidly caught offside, he's f***ing awful with his postional sense
