anfield Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=360416&cc=5739 can't believe anyone is stupid enough to say this before the game. I hope the ref is reading this. Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho has claimed Barcelona forward Lionel Messi's theatrics have 'opened the road' for Blues players to do the same in the second leg of their Champions League tie in the Nou Camp. Messi, the brilliant 18-year-old Argentina international, was criticised for over-reacting after a challenge from Asier Del Horno, which resulted in the Chelsea left-back being sent off in the 2-1 defeat last week. 'Messi is a good player but he has opened the road for some Chelsea players to do the same thing in Barcelona,' said the Portugal centre-back ahead of Tuesday's second leg. 'Messi acted like an artist. He exaggerated everything he could and started to roll around on the field like he had been killed. 'He deceived the referee well, but these type of things are a part of football.'

RP Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I hope Chelsea get battered next week. Absolutely battered.

Andy @ Allerton Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 As someone mentioned - funny how the press don't mention the chelsea tart rolled like a doughnut when he thought he might be in trouble. Chelsea really are becoming as bad as Man U.

Guest Jack Bauer Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Quote Messi acted like an artist. He exaggerated everything he could and started to roll around on the field like he had been killed. What a c**k, if you're killed then you wouldn't roll around, you'd be DEAD. Stupid nob.
jariiiiiiiiiise Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 'Messi is a good player but he has opened the road for some Chelsea players to do the same thing in Barcelona,' said the Portugal centre-back ahead of Tuesday's second leg. Did you not watch Robben against Liverpool then you F**Kin idiot YOU LOT DO IT ALL THE F**KIN TIME
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 all that's needed now, is a cunning bit of press manipulation from the Barca crew & the ref will be on lookout for Chelsea theatrics. 3 red cards, to start them off nicely for next season's competition
aka Dus Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I laughed so much when I read that I think I might have peed.
Bootle Buck Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I hope that c*** get's sent off. He gets away with at least 3 cynical tackles from behind every match and rarely a booking. I' have seen his go down rather easy himself looking for the foul.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I hope the CHelsea players blow up for no apparanet reasons (apart from SWP, who is ace).
Foo Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 And they openly admit that they are going to do it. Well it isn't as if everyone know Chelsea is (in my eyes) a rather unsportsmanlike team. And Carvalho is absolutely one the worst in that team. Good player but he is a nasty one. No respect from me.
ManxRed Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 So they're going to roll over and play act. What's new?

intense enigma Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 anfield said: The fact that they are stupid enough to come out and say it boggles the mind Hope someone from UEFA is reading this. How much fun would we have watching Chelsea players getting legitimately whacked, elbowed and fouled and the referee just waves play-on thinking it's just theatrics
Spike Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 reports coming through of mourinho being spat on by barca fans when they arrived at the airport

muleskinner Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Whilst in London this wknd I heard from 2 Chelsea supporting mates that Mourinho is Real Madrid bound and he is taking Lampard with him, hence Ballack signing in the summer. Probably b******s but they were convinced.
